Grouchy and Rude :)

Neptuna Pixy

HuacayaOpen (Female)Light Fawn
AOA# 31454353DOB: 7/16/200816 yrs
Neptuna Pixy is a great female with a nice long soft fleece. I've used her fleece in many of our yarn-runs specifically due to its long staple length. She has the darker nose and skin pigment, and somewhat of a vicunia fading fleece color Having come from a black dam (Victor granddaughter) and white sire (Aspen Ridge Augusto's Cochiti) her color production possibilities are endless! She is now actually a modern rose grey, her fleece after shearing looks lavender! Pixy has a spritely personality, which is a nice way of saying she is grouchy and rude. She likes food, and feels it should be all he hers. She is independent and She isnt the type of girl that we stand around snuggling, but we sure do snuggle her fiber and the awesome yarn it creates. Her fiber as a yearling was 15.7 mc. She has a great build, conformation and zero health issues. She has had 2 female cria, a dark fawn when bred to brown, and a light fawn when bred to white. Pixy is now 13, which is like a spry 55 yr old in alpaca years - we dont view her as old at all! She can live out her grouchy years with us, or be adopted by a good owner who doesnt need hugs from Pixy, and doesnt mind her impatience at dinnertime, and incessant jumping in the water trough.

Service Sire: AZA Apache Gold

Excellent Density with fineness!

AZA Apache Gold

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Light Fawn
AOA# 35079354DOB: 6/14/20168 yrs
Apache is an impressive fellow with what he holds in him and on him, he is confirmationaly straight and sound with fleece qualities and character that his Ancestry dictates. His fleece remains clean from skin to tip holding little if any vegetable matter on his fleece. His fleece is dense, crimpy with a lustrous character that has put him on the Breeding Herd sire list as his fleece has matured into something to be proud of. He has settled a couple of our girls with cria due fall of 2020, produced all girls, so far. he has one 2019 offspring on the ground and her fleece is impressive! 2021 total on his cria's to date is four girls one boy!!! Update: Fiber Density stats Data Details: Density: 79.0/mm Secondary: Primary fiber Ratio: 12.1:1 In-skin mean primary fiber diameter: 22.8 / Standard Deviation 2.7 In-skin mean secondary fiber diameter 19.2/ Standard Deviation 2.7 Report Comments: Very good density with two highly uniform fiber populations and a very good fiber population differential of 3.6 microns. These are very good numbers for a fawn alpaca Sire! And you Should see his girls!!! Oh my Goodness! sporting his color to the color of the female he's bred to with all of his locks of dense crimpy and very shinny fleece

Description

Kim Novak, Aka Kimmi is a very sweet female with a laid back personality, at first we just called her "Blondie" but that didn't seem to fit her with her fleece coloring appearing to be white seeing her in the paddock, but, part that fleece and she is really a stunning very light FAWN!!! Let's talk about her fleece character, did we say that she is very fine? Crimp can be seen at the skin, as her fleece grows out the weight of her fleece along with the fineness some of the crimp is pulled out. The Brilliance of her fleece is show from skin to tip, the fleece judges discounted her fleece because of the vegetable matter. Well, we have that rectified, she is presenting with a cleaner fleece this year. As we have seen this girl mature, so has her fleece, she has gone from a fluff ball to a sleek and together fleece that has improved greatly.
