PATAGONIA'S ERNESTO: Patagonia’s Ernesto is a magnificent light brown compact herdsire that improves every dam to her fullest potential. Before I purchased Ernesto, I bred numerous females to this dynamic male just to see what he could do. I discovered that I could take an average dam, breed her to Ernesto, and voila, he would produce a stunning offspring. This feat was proven when we had hundreds of the females assessed with their juvenile crias. Time and time again, the cria scored better than the dam so I knew I had something special going on with this male and one way to obtain improvement in the production of our breeding program. In many ways, Patagonia’s Ernesto has surpassed his one of a kind sire, Patagonia’s Lennox, and what Lennox has been able to achieve in his life-time. Ernesto’s dam, R&RR Irishea, is a light fawn from Ruth and Rodney Elvestad’s Canadian breeding program whose goal was to have lasting fine fleece, yet have the fleece to be the ultimate in density as well. Ruth operates Olds College in Canada working with fiber. Irishea is out of one of my very favorite males, CAVA Guivar Zorro, a true black import. He has many good breeding years left and would love to have the opportunity to prove it! Ernesto’s Show Record shows for itself: JUDGE'S CHOICE, 7x CHAMPION & 5x GET OF SIRE RIBBONS Ernesto's first crias hit the show ring in 2012 and continue to perform! PATAGONIA'S EL CANTO DE CHILE - LF Male 8/5/11 (5x Champion & Numerous Blue Ribbons) PATAGONIA'S BACCUS - TB Male 7/4/13 (3x Color Champ & Multi-Blue Ribbons) PATAGONIA'S MANTECOL - MB Male 7/26/13 (3x Champion & Multi-Blue Ribbons) PATAGONIA'S ENCHANTED LIGHT - LF Female 6/22/11 (2x Reserve Champ & Multi-Blue Ribbons) AUTUMNSUN'S MAJOR GENERAL - DRG Male 6/6/12 (2x Reserve Champ & Multi-Blue Ribbons) PATAGONIA'S PERFECTION - DF Female 8/20/2013 (Color Champ & Multi-Blue Ribbons) ESTATES ERNESTO'S KEEP SAKE - DB Female 9/1/2013 (Color Champ & Blue Ribbon) LIBERTYS ALLEGIANCE - TB Female 8/12/2014 (2x Champ & Multi-Blue Ribbons PATAGONIA'S FRANCO - MB Male 6/12/12 (Reserve Champ & Blue Ribbons) PATAGONIA'S DELFINA - MB Female 10/13/12 (Multi-Blue Ribbons) PATAGONIA'S REGALONA - MB Female 6/12/11 (Multi-Blue Ribbons) PATAGONIA'S ADELA - LF Female 6/30/12 (Blue Ribbon Winner) PATAGONIA'S ARIELE - MF Female 7/10/12 (Blue Ribbon Winner) PATAGONIA'S SHONSHONE - MF Female 7/16/12 (Blue Ribbon Winner) PATAGONIA'S ARCTICA - WH Female 9/11/12 (Blue Ribbon Winner) PATAGONIA ESTATES AZTEC - LB Male 6/27/2015 (Blue Ribbon Winner)

Congratulations to Glenn and Carolyn Waddell of Sawdust Alpacas, on their 3-in-1 purchase of Saphire Symphony and her female cria Estates Brazilian Agate, sired by Patagonia's Ernesto. Saphire Symphony is a pretty true black dam that produces amazing cria just like her dam, 180 Spirit of Huasita. Both females are from our black foundation herd. Saphire’s sire, Brazilian Brew from Canada caring the Peruvian Bueno line, is from David & Brenda Barboza’s RanchoNC. Saphire Symphony’s gorgeous female cria, Estates Brazilian Agate, is out of the elite producing herdsire, multi-Champion Patagonia’s Ernesto. Ernesto has acclaimed Color Banners at GWAS, AOA National Show, Get of Sire First Place Banner winner competing with white herdsires, and as a brown breeding male, was selected as Judge’s Choice 2010 GWAS. As multi-Champion, Ernesto has achieved many milestones in the showring along with his offspring producing show winning records as well. Multi-champion, Ernesto passes on his stature and stateliness to his offspring. His two-year histogram was: 15.3, SD: 3.1m, CV: 20.5%, 30=0.4%. What is exciting for us is now Ernesto’s offspring are hitting the shows and they are champions too, just like Ernesto, Ernesto’s sire, and the one and only Patagonia’s Lennox did with his progeny! What a thrill! Multi-Champion Lennox, who now is fourteen years old, was appraised in 2015 by senior judge, Amanda Vandenbosch as an amazing A- breeding herdsire. The show records for Ernesto and Lennox are out of this world both having numerous awards. How would you like a 3-in-1 Package including lovely dark fleece and density caring into the belly with over all evenness? Saphire has extremely fine fleece, great genetics, and a sensational female cria at the side. We love what Saphire Symphony and Patagonia’s Ernesto produced so much that we selected to rebreed Saphire back to Ernesto with a due date of September, 2017. You will want to take a close look at Saphire’s outstanding cria, Brazilian Agate, born September 18th 2016 ARI# 35251743 for your show string. She is quite a looker, and will be just the right age for showing this spring. What an incredible staple length on this spunky juvenile. Never look a gift horse in the mouth; this cria is fabulous! Do we need to say more? Cria D.O.B 09/18/2016 ARI# 35251743
