Kix Alyst

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)True Black
AOA# 32747836, CLAA# DOB: 7/9/201311 yrs
Sale Pending! Kix was born amazing and he still is! His solid black fleece has exceptional crimp and brightness. He has perfect alpaca type and his temperament is superb! Everything lined up on this breeding. Both his sire and dam are Dark Fleece Champions and it shows in Kix! We are thrilled with Kix's production his first year. All his crias have extremely bright beautiful fleeces! He produced fawn to black 4 girls and 2 boys all out of fawn females. We still just love this boy! We try and breed him every year even though we are pretty related to his genetics. Two more coming in 2021! I think that says a lot given his age. 2 for 2 black girls in 2021 (out of fawn females). We bred Kix again in 2021...this time to a black female! Another black girl for Kix in 2022! COLOR TESTING RESULTS FOR KIX: Ee a1aNR

Excellent EPDs

Kricket Alyst

HuacayaBred (Female)Medium Fawn
DOB: 6/12/201212 yrs
Kricket is a solid fawn color, the same color as her dam. Kricket's sire is none other than Sweet William and her dam is out of the Captain Nemo line. Pocahauntus at 4 years of age was still only 16 microns!!! Kricket is a good combination of white for fineness and black in her background for color. Her dam is ranked #1 for Micron for 4 years in a row! Kricket is definitely following in those footsteps...only moving 1 micron in 3 years! Kricket delivers a really nice brown male (SOLD). She is an excellent mother. We have now bred Kricket to Lazaro, a fawn Diomedes son that has extreme coverage and fiber growth! Kricket's second cria was a light female. Indra is very fine with a very nice temperament and fleece (SOLD). Kricket's third cria is a beautiful true black female! Kricket delivers a fawn boy this year...not what we were expecting! Kuter is showing some signs of some excellent fleece at a young age. We expect he will continue on with the lasting fineness of his dam.

Supreme Champion

Red Granites Pallaton

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Light Brown
AOA# 35123491, CLAA# DOB: 7/22/20168 yrs
Welcome Red Granites Pallaton to our herd! Purchased at the Amber Autumn Auction, Pallaton has grown into a beautiful male. From Reserve Champion at his 1st Canadian Show to Supreme Champion at his 2nd show. Pallaton was able to settle a few females easily at 2 years of age. The temperament on this boy is stellar and so is his fleece. High frequency super fine consistent fleece on a mid sized perfect frame. What more could you ask for? How about producing black? Yup, Pallaton's first cria was black! We are very pleased with the offspring that Pallaton has sired. His offspring from 2021 are some of the best produced here at KJ Alpacas. Pallaton also had an excellent girl record in 2021...7 females 2 boys! SALE PENDING

Description

Kahlua is a very cute girl out of our true black herdsire Kix Alyst and Kricket Alyst. Kahlua's fleece carries a bolder style crimp, really good regrowth and has beautiful brightness and softness. Her conformation is perfect. Oh YES! Kahlua delivers a true black boy in 2019 out of Black Hills' The Gangster. She is a perfect mother with lots of milk! Kahlua has now been bred to our Supreme Champion Red Granites Pallaton. Pallaton has given us 2 black cria out of browns in 2019. We crossed a Kix female with Pallaton and we were extremely excited at what the combination produced. This will be an outstanding cria! Kahlua will be offered with her 2019 True Black male cria Kruz at side at the 7th Annual Amber Autumn Auction in February 2020! Looking for exceptional EPD's? Kahlua's grand dam has been ranked #1 in micron for 5 years - 2015 to 2019!
