This male has amazed us from the start with his gorgeous bright, dense and highly organized fleece in addition to his beautiful phenotype. Next-gen black! Color genotype for Jet Blue is EEa1a2. No dilution and carries both black alleles. It will be very unlikely that he would produce light offspring and all offspring will cover black. We are excited to have this information to assist in our breeding decisions. His first offspring have hit the ground spring of 2022 and he has produced some exceptional crias, plus they've all been black and all girls so far. We are proud to co-own this amazing male with Granite Bay Alpacas. Jet will be closed to outside breedings.

Description

Will be breeding to the amazing Wolfgang of Skyfiber. Shadow delivered a gorgeous black girl sired by Jet Blue with curls galore! Her previous two offspring have been sold. Like Shadow all her offspring are sweet and friendly. CCAP Sunrise's Shadow is a stunning Light Brown female, out of MFI Peruvian Blendolite, a banner-winning Light Fawn female and sired by Snowmass Kahuna Sunrise. At the 2017 VA Alpaca & Fiber Festival, Judge Jude Anderson commented that Shadow had the finest fleece in the class, placing 3rd behind the eventual Color Champion and Reserve Champion in the same class! In her first halter show, 2017 MOPACA, CCAP Sunrise's Shadow took a BLUE RIBBON! In a very competitive class of Light Brown juvenile females, Judge Wade Gease commented that Shadow had good phenotype, a great hand, nice organization and a tight crimp style, which brought her to the top of the class! She followed that with a solid 3rd place against very tough competition at the Wisconsin Alpaca and Fiber Fest, with judge's comments of a pleasing phenotype combined with a fine, bright fleece showing good density and organization. CCAP Sunrise's Shadow's sire, Snowmass Kahuna Sunrise is the phenomenal Light Brown 16-time Champion (and counting) male out of Snowmass Conopa's Kahuna and Snowmass Royal Sunrise. With lineage from Snowmass Quechua, Snowmass XXXtreme, Peruvian Snowmaster, Snowmass Accoyocusani, PPeruvian Vengador, 4Peruvian Legacy, PPPeruvian Augusto and Peruvian Hemingway, this male has it all! Lineage, fineness, density, coverage, consistency, a buttery-soft handle and gorgeous phenotype! Her dam, MFI Peruvian Blendolite was sired by MFI Peruvian Jericho (the sire of Jeremiah) at age 9 still has perfect conformation and a dense, crimpy fleece, brightness, and a real pasture presence! We proudly co-own Sunrise's Shadow with CCAP Alpacas! Shadow will be bred to AVC AJ's Kodiak, a multi-banner winning True Black herdsire, and sire of a True Black Futurity Champion female! Kodiak has demonstrated time and time again, that he produces Black offspring 80% of the time when bred to Black, and 60% of the time when bred to other colors. With Shadow's color background, we can't wait to see what this breeding will produce! Update 3-21: Shadow was rebred to Kodiak and produced another exceptional True Black cria. This time it was a boy!
