HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Light Fawn
AOA# 200000691, CLAA# DOB: 8/3/200420 yrs
**This male has also put black on the ground!!!! ________________________ A SUPER SAM son in the USA! In light fawn! Quicksand has his own championship merits to stand on, but his ancestry backs him up. Normally, these generics are held close to the vest and not shared. We believe in moving the industry forward in measured increments. So we will sparingly share this male. Quicksand is a multiple champion Super Sam son. His dam is a dam of SUPREME champions. Normally we don't need to say much more...but we can and will... Quicksand has all the attributes which make him the "ideal" alpaca: - sound, well balanced "box-like" conformation, which moves flawlessly - great bone density on a fully covered and upright frame - excellent head shape, with a correct bite - calm temperament - heavy fleece which is: easily parted - ultra fine super bright - uniform long in staple length organized and even in crimp style He is truly one of the males that makes you stop what you are doing and just stare. He is the complete package. So go ahead, we don't mind. Stare. For he is stunning. Then take the judges' advice...breed all your females to this guy...he is the real deal. ________________________________ For the breeders who know Super Sam…no explanation is needed. Quicksand is a multiple champion Super Sam son. And Westwind Aleta produces SUPREME CHAMPION offspring. For those who haven’t heard of Super Sam…he is THE 16x Get-of-Sire award winning sire…THE Futurity winning herdsire male….THE herdsire to Futurity and Color and Supreme Champions in a whole array of colors….THE stud who changed the way the Canadians defined a true impact stud sire…THE stud who is CLOSED to outside breedings….and, of course, THE sire…to Quicksand.

Wyndy Pynes' Anastasia Rose

HuacayaBred (Female)Dark Silver Grey, Bay Black
AOA# 32253252DOB: 7/5/201212 yrs
Anastasia is a solid, quiet proven alpaca. She has full coverage with dark silver gray fiber that still feels soft. Ana Rose would be best placed with an experienced owner, as she can be hard to handle at times (mainly her feet!), which is why she's priced as she is. I love her fiber and she produced a very nice son. Ana has beautiful dark fiber with lots of gray, making her a modern dark silver gray. Her coverage is from nose to toes and she continued to have long staple even when bred last year. She has consistent fiber although her micron has crept up with pregnancy. Anastasia had a beautiful male cria on July 8, 2015 after 354 days of gestation! He's medium brown, 17 lbs at birth, and covered in crimpy bundles with above average density. Ana is being a terrific mom and cria is gaining 4-6 oz a day. "Smoked Quartz" had a nice 4th place at his first show (MIAS, Level 3, class of 7 under Sharon Loner). He has continued to develop with increased density. His yearling fiber stats in 2016 were: 20.5 afd, 3.9 SD, 18.9 CV, 1.7 >30. WOW! her son's 2017 stats are even better!! 20.5 afd, 3.7 SD, 18.2 CV, 98.4% CF Ana sells as a bred female. Purchase soon to include cria in price!

Nice fiber male

Description

Smoked Quartz has been quietly maturing in our home pastures and has matured into a solid, robust male with a buttery soft fleece that is full of crimp and nice brightness. His density is above average. Smoked Quartz's fiber status or 2017 (2nd spring shearing) were pretty amazing for a medium brown - afd of 20.5 micron, SD 3.7, CV 18.2 and spin fineness of 19.5. comfort factor of 98.4% wow! He is a strong robust male that would do well with healthcare if you have a chute. He does walk on the halter and I can restrain with a halter/lead for shots but he just doesn't like his feet touched and although he's not a huge guy, he knows his power.
