Half-Interest Now Available! As we refine our herdsire list, we’ve made the hard decision to let our share of ownership go in 7X Champion, six year old grey stud, Ambrose of Milan. We now have his genetics infused solidly in our herd going forward through his multiple daughters and a future stud replacement. It’s now time to let him keep working his magic for someone else’s herd. With his daughters now being old enough to breed, we’re excited to see what his next generation will produce! Ambrose is a solidly built male with a boxy frame and stout build. He is dense, dense, dense and has sired some excellent offspring for us across a wide variety of dams, providing us rose and silver greys, beautiful fawns, and some excellent browns. With 12 of his daughters now folded back into our program, we’re ready to let him do the same for you while we work on the daughters and the next generation. Ambrose has done a fabulous job of building our foundation herd and his legacy will continue long and strong at Epic Alpacas. Ambrose is the complete package - a fantastic rose grey stud who has 7 Championships under his belt from highly competitive shows, beating a Futurity Champ and many other multiple banner winners! He retired from his show run and settled into his breeding career, with his first cria hitting the ground in Fall of 2015. Ambrose is 5th generation grey out of two grey parents and is packed with grey genetics. His sire, ATV Adonnis was a legend in his own time, taking 14 banners until his untimely death in March 2015. He leaves behind a spectacular legacy of cria that have gone on to be color champions and blue ribbon winners in their own right. Adonnis passed along everything he had when he sired this boy - fineness, crimp, density, phenotype, coverage, and more. Ambrose's fleece continues to be so fine and buttery soft even a couple of years into his breeding career. Have a look at this male and get your hands on him - you'll never want to let go! Ambrose is proudly co-owned with Eye of the Needle Ranch in Golden, CO.

Morning Star's Angel of Grace

HuacayaOpen (Female)Dark Silver Grey
AOA# 31432597DOB: 6/24/200816 yrs
Angel is out of our girl Diamond which is producing the finest, densest greys you'll likely see. Angel is exceptional in every way. She is dark silver grey throughout her blanket at the skin with a luscious buttery fine handle. Her fiber stats speak for themselves with an AFD 19.5 -- awesome for a dark silver grey. All the fiber characteristics are beautiful and every judge commented on her fiber fineness, the pattern, the crimp, her consistency from front to back as well as her conformation. She has a sweet spirit and personality. Angel is 1/2 sister to our multi-blue ribbon/Color Champion modern dark silver grey herdsire Diego, who was 18.4 at 1 year and moved into the low 20's since he started breeding. He's passed his fiber qualities on to his cria. These numbers for DSG are extraordinary, check for yourself and see how many silvers you can find with these micron numbers! Angel's sire Premier's Rubio (MRG) is known for his fine fiber, at 1 year 18.7 and at 3 years he remained 20.8, and he also passes that same fineness on to his cria. Many of his cria have ribbons as well as banners to their credit. Angel took her first blue at AlpacaPalooza. Judge Ruth Elvastad commented on her lovely fineness, wonderful conformation and overall complete package. Her next 1st place ribbon came at CABA where Tim Lavan again commented on her fineness and unique fiber coloring. Our shearer's comment "she has the prettiest blanket I've ever shorn." Take a look at the picture. At PNAA Peter Kennedy, well known Australian judge commented on the beauty of her handle and fineness. Angel's first breeding was to 2005 National Color Champion Rincon Cloud. The cria was born in August 2012 and he is a beautiful true black boy. His fiber is excellent with fineness and crimp plus density that cracks open along his neck. On May 26, 2016 Angel had a gorgeous tux grey female with amazing fleece from our 4x champ silver grey herdsire, Sebastian! Angel is a great mom with lots of milk. Angel's 2017 cria is a spectacular tux grey male from our 7x champ grey herdsire, Ambrose! in 2019, Angel had an exquisite tux grey girl with our 2x National Grey Champ, Wilkinson! She's on a roll!

Description

Armani is a very nicely built male sired by our 7X Champion, Ambrose, and out of our excellent female, Angel. Ambrose has thrown consistently solid offspring for us and stamps his look on all of them! Angel is from one of our best family lines that include her brother, our past stud Diego, her sister, Black Pearle, and her dam, Diamond. Our herd is filled with a lot of good stuff from that group of animals, including the latest addition, Armani. Both Walking Fleece and Halter Judges at the 2018 California Classic praised his brightness, consistency of micron and architecture across his blanket, and his density. In halter, he was entered into the Bred & Owned category, winning his juvenile class, and going on to the prestigious award of Best Bred & Owned against some excellent competition, beating out animals of a variety of other colors!
