PATAGONIA'S CALAFATE Calafate was named after the purple berries found in the Patagonia. She has soft fleece and is nicely balanced on a strong frame. Patagonia’s Calafate was assessed by Amanda VandenBosch as an A- female with a soft hand, good length for staple, even uniformity of light & dark grey, lack of medullation, uniformity of micron, and good overall appearance. We selected the Champion Estates Silver Titan with magnificent fine, bright crimp along with a long staple length plus density to rebreed Calafate with a due date of late September, 2018. Silver Titan’s micron count is AFD: 20.5; SD: 5.0; CV: 24.1; %>30 3.3. The percentage of grey offspring when breeding tuxedo to tuxedo is 85%. Start thinking of grey cria names! Offspring: On 9/1/2016, Calafate gave us a lovely TB female cria sired by our Chief Grey Feather.
