AOA# 30426672DOB: 7/2/200717 yrs
CUERVO AT 17 YEARS OLD still has 26 AFD micron fiber. We are sooo pleased with this boy and his lasting fineness. He is the protector guy on the farm and let's us know if there is a problem or stranger on the property. Cuervo is a unique animal with very distinctive facial marking. He has some great ancestry in PPPeruvian Augusto, 4Peruvian Starr Khan. Cuervo is always very correct in stance with tail up, head and ears up with an 'I'm IT" attitude. With his low micron at his age, he will bring lasting fineness to your females. We still get about 7-8 lbs of fiber at shearing from Cuervo. We have so many offspring from him on our farm and at others. You won't go wrong adding him to your program. Just a note about Cuervo's grandsire: PPPeruvian Augusto was the year 2000 highest selling Huacaya Male at $226,000. At his 3rd shearing Augusto had an incredible 18 pounds of fiber. Cuervo's fiber, at the age of 16 years, weighed almost 7 pounds and was at 26.7 microns Cuervo has been a great asset to our breeding program.

Snowmass Illuminescence is a gorgeous Beige female from a strong line of color mixed with the leading royal white and genetic lines of Snowmass. Her sire is Snowmass Black Out, a renown True Black Matrix Snowmass Stud. Her dam is Snowmass Golden Girl, the first Hemmingway Fawn Grey female born on the Snowmass Ranch, Illuminescence was first bred to Snowmass Divine Love and produced an amazing Medium Fawn female, Snowmass Lovelight, with a first year AFD of 13.4 microns. She was bred next to Snowmass Elite Legend who gave us Sawdust's Zaire. She is now bred to our Emanuel Cuervo Plateado, sire MFI Brock, and linage of Ppperuvian Augusto 6009. Cuervo, after 10 years of age, is still giving us AFD 22 microns. WE are excited to see what is produced with this pairing in September of 2017. 9/03/17 Sawdust's Tupelo was born. A beautiful white male with lots of crimpy fiber. Taking after his sire, Cuervo, with lots of fine fiber. ILLUMINESCENCE was bred to CRESCENT MOON'S BUSTER this last summer, 2018. We are excited to see what this star will produce next year! Cria is named Sawdust's Armani - what a gorgeous guy - lots of white, shiny, crimpy fiber on this guy!!! We received another stunning Boy from Illuminescence 6/12/2020, HIGH COTTON. From our Zinger, a Zagato boy ILLUMINESCENCE gave birth to a stunning boy 6/2/2019. 19.1 lbs. White. Superb genetics with this one. His name is Sawdust's Armandi. Armandi placed 2nd in a halter show at Gold Country Gathering in Oct 2022. 2021 - Illuminescence is bred to Alpaca Palace's Zinger for s 2022 cria. Illuminescence had a gorgeous light fawn male we named Tabasco (a white ebony wood). Illuminescence had an easy birth and is an excellent mom. Tabasco is growing nicely and will be going to the Great Western Alpaca show .

Description

This male alpaca has a magnificent bright white fiber that exhibits a lot of crimp and fineness. Tupelo has excellent ancestry on both his dam and sire sides. His Dam, Snowmass Illuminescence, is descended from Snowmass Black Out, a Snowmass Matrix son. Our herdsire, Immanuel Cuervo Plateado, is a grandson of Peruvian Augusto and even at 16 years of age, he still has some traits within the top 1-10% EPDs. We believe that Tupelo would make an excellent herdsire for your herd.
