AJ is a predictable color breeder - no exceptions. AJ has over 85 crias on the ground, 67% are black, 32% are brown, and 1% is gray– from dams from white to black. When bred to black, 100% are black. Color is no problem for this boy. AJ is a tried and true, Full Peruvian, non-fading black macho. His fleece is soft (2000 micron of 18, 2007 22.0 AT 8 YEARS OLD!), crimpy, and virtually free of guard hair. He is full Alianza, alpacas noted for maintaining fineness as they age. AJ has proven himself in the show and with his progeny. A four-time Reserve Champion, AJ has also won more than 20 blue ribbons for halter, composite, and fleece including a blue ribbon fleece award at AOBA. Most recently AJ won the coveted Get of Sire against two white, highly competitive males - very rare for a black. Are you a fashion forward fashionista? This is the perfect bling you need in your heard…defintely an alpaca that Rachel Zoe would approve of. PLF Peruvain Bella Noche has been nicknamed Bling Bling due to very stylish markings she loves to show off. She struts her stuff and loves to prance like a pristine show pony. Bling has a big personality. When she is open, she is a true love bug. She cannot get enough attention enjoying all the hugs and kisses you can spare. When she is bred, she will let you know (no behavior test required) by twirling away and striking a pose worthy of a supermodel – just beyond your arm’s reach! Bling is truly an excellent mom. She loves her baby and is very protective. She keeps a close eye on her bundle of joy at all times. Her baby of 2011 is as sweet as pie (inheritaing the open pesonality of mom) and a solid true black female. This cria does not have any of the striking markings of her momma but she does have her eye-catching appeal. Bling has great fleece and beautiful conformation. She has gorgeous straight lines and carries herself upright with true presence. Currently, she is bred to PLF Peruvian Red Hot Chocolate (we call him Mole – pronounced Mo’lay). This boy took a reserve championiship to Hobby Horse Wizard of Ahs, who went on the get Judges Choice. We feel that taking Blings Fineness and Brightness we would add Mole’s denisity and staple to get another beautiful baby. Bling has great genetics loaded with color. Sire is 582 Peruvain Calypso, out of the recently deceeced Accoyo Grand Master to carried eye popping character and blinging brightness till his last days. On the dam’s Bling has impressive names like Camelot and 6P Dona Ariana (DSG). This line up screams deep rich color with exceptional brightness and fineness. Bling is a girl that can be a name maker for your farm. She is flashy and curious and will grab the attention of all your visitors. This is Capone. Oh my goodness, Capone is awesome. Capone is sired by Snowmass Silver Signature. I didn't know much about Signature, but I have come to believe that he is one of the most under-appreciated gray sires out there. Signature himself is a beautiful, compact, typey male with a family of elite animals behind him (Snowmass Royal Flush, full brother to Royal Bronze, with Snowmass Peruvian Casanova as his dam sire), so it's no small wonder he is able to reliably produce excellence. Then, Capone's dam is a producer of excellence as well. She has produced multiple-blue ribbon winners by multiple other sires -- all dark, even when bred to light, and all grey when bred to grey. Her lineage provides an interesting blend of elite light impact sires (namely Peruvian Legacy, and Peruvian Hemingway), and dark sires (Danko and the true black Caballero Andante, foundation sire for Patagonia and Crescent Moon). So, we have Capone. Simply put, in so many ways, this male exemplifies what we are breeding for. Capone is sweet, calm, and confident. He is extremely compact -- one might say ultra-compact -- yet his substance of bone is that of an extra-large alpaca. His bone circumference relative to height is the best I have ever seen. His conformation and proportions are excellent. His head is beautiful, and his coverage, like his sire's, is extensive. ... All of which is great, but if you've read this far, you probably know what you're looking at, and what you're looking at is the fleece. Yes, it really looks like that in real life. Not only does Capone have the high-frequency, high-amplitude crimp style of an elite white, he has the density of an elite white. Yes, this solid silver tux alpaca is as dense as an elite white one. He's also extremely fine. Last but most assuredly not least, he has an absolutely awesome staple length. This is a trait that we value very highly and feel is often under-appreciated in alpacas. Also stunning is his uniformity of color: Capone's fleece is solid silver gray. Period.
