BIG TIMBER KAHUNA'S JOSEF

SuriHerdsire (Male)White
AOA# 32727760DOB: 9/19/201311 yrs
Josef is producing Champions! His offspring are stunning with super fine micron, high gloss luster and beautifully dense lock structure. He is the ultimate prepotent stud that passes his superior traits to his offspring. Josef won his first Get of Sire class in 2018 as a five year old stud. Josef is the son of multi-champion Pucara's Kahuna and Big Timber's award winning dam, KBTA's Kerolyn. His genetics are packed with the best suri bloodlines...Kahuna, Armani, Miquel, Uribe. Josef's offspring have proven his ability to pass through these awesome genetics. Josef's fine fleece is dense with incredible staple length. His first fleece AFD was a superfine 17.1 micron with an SD of 3.3 and is ranked in the top EPDS in the country. His second year fleece was a close 19 micron with a continued SD of 3.3. As noted in his biopsy report below, at 45 months, his AFD is a very fine 21 micron. One of Josef's fleece strengths is his staple length. At over 4 years, his staple length is over 6.5 inches annual growth. His staple length along with his above average density contributes to his superior annual fleece weight of over 11 lbs., putting him in the top 1% for FW in the most recent EPDs. In 2018, Josef won Reserve Invited Champion as a 4.5 year old competing against much younger animals. In 2017, Josef, as a 3.5 year old male, was awarded Invited Color Champion and First Place at the 2017 AOA National Halter Show for white suri male and Color Champion and First Place at the competitive 2017 CABA Classic Show. In 2016 as a mature male, he was awarded Color Champion and First Place at the 2016 Futurity Halter Show and First Place at the 2016 AOA Nationals Show. He also won First Place and Color Champion at the 2016 CABA show in both the halter and fleece shows. Josef was evaluated in 2017 in the SHIP (Suri Herd Improvement Program) by Cheryl Gehly. He received a perfect 5 score in all conformation categories. For fleece characteristics, he scored perfect 5's for lock structure, uniformity of color and fleece phenotype. He scored 4.5's for density and handle. He scored 4's in the areas of luster (luster score of 18), fineness (20 micron) and uniformity of micron. Josef is truly the whole package! Josef has outstanding rankings of Top 1-5% in the 2022 EPDs that confirm his genetic prepotence: Dr. Norm Evans conducted a skin biopsy analysis in 2017 on Josef at 45 months old. His true density is 53.5 follicles SQ MM of skin and 25 typical fiber clusters show an average S/P of 9.8 to 1. Tested 100 secondary fibers average of 20.1 microns while 50 primary fibers average 29.4 microns for a variation of 9.3 microns. Josef’s AFD on July 8, 2017 at 45 months of age figures 21.03 microns. Excellent results for a mature male.

BIG TIMBER'S MALIKA

SuriBred (Female)White
AOA# 32573527DOB: 10/7/201410 yrs
Big Timber's Malika is a beautiful white female with elite suri genetics coming from Kahuna, Accoyo Crown Royale, Uribe, Miquel and Accoyo Ice Man. Her sire, SBS Kahuna's Bahati, is a multi-champion Kahuna son. Her dam, Supersuris Sweet 16 was an exquisite female with an incredible retained fineness, AFD, of 22 micron at over 5 years of age. This genetic combination has created Malika's super fine fleece with brilliant luster and exceptional fineness and density. Malika inherited her dam's retained fineness characteristic as her second histogram is virtually identical to her first, showing an AFD of 19 micron with an SD of 4. Malika is highly ranked in the 2020 EPD categories: AFD-- Top 3% SDAFD--Top 3% SF- Top 3% %>30-- Top 3% Dr. Norm Evans conducted a biopsy on Malika in 2017. He reported: "Her density is 69.5 follicles SQMM and her S/P ratio is 10.9 to 1. She shows level 2 of 4 gland presence and 60% of her secondary fibers show a level of medullation. . Her biopsy AFD is 20.49 microns. Malika's density, S/P ratio, fineness of secondary fibers and AFD are extremely strong for mature Suri females." In 2017, Malika gave birth to her first cria, a stunning white female, Josef's Shirotae, out of our multi-champion Kahuna's Josef. Shirotae has incredible fleece stats at 16.7 micron with an SD of 2.7! Very happy with this strategic line breed. Shirotae sold at six months of age and went on to win championships. In August 2018, Malika had a gorgeous male sired by HFS Jeremiah, full of fleece and what a head! Showstopper in our 2019 showstring. We rebred Malika to our 12X Champion Josef for a 2019 cria. If you missed out on Shirotae, here comes her full sibling! Malika had a gorgeous Josef son in August 2019. I have never seen fleece like his on a cria. He is absolutely stunning. In May 2021, Malika had another stunning female cria sired by Josef.

Description

Shirotae means "exquisite white" in Japanese Kanji and this stunning female is nothing less. We crossed Josef's Kahuna and Armani genetics with Malika's Crown Royale, Blondie and Kahuna genetics to produce this girl. Shirotae is absolutely stunning with dense fleece coverage over her strong feminine frame. We can't wait to get the fiber stats on this female. Her dam, Malika, has a density of 69.5, one or the top Suri females in the country. Retained fineness, uniformity and density are dominant in her genetic lines and Shirotae exhibits the best of her prepotent genetics. Shirotae was ranked in the top 5% across the board for six out of seven fiber traits in the 2017 EPDs. Amazing quality and consistency. We love, love, love her!!!
