Sold - Congratulations to Nancy Chapel of Alpaca Country Estates! Ike's advanced Judge's Choice fleece, which scored 87 points - puts him in a very very small class of elite classic gray herd sires. And, in halter, he was awarded Color Champion at arguably the toughest halter show in the country, the Futurity. Judged to be superior in quality, by senior judges, in both halter and fleece shows. In showing, This is the mark of an elite male. And, in terms of Production - he's already produced National Champions in both Black and Gray. Please see his fleece score card pictured here. Scores such as these are rarely awarded to alpacas of any color. His first Three shearings have each won at least one championship - proving lasting quality. Ike started settling girls when he was just 21 months old, he is a pleasure to manage as a sire. I fell in love with Ike at first sight (and feel), at the 2013 Futurity, when he was 7 months old. Thank you to Gary Henderson of Keva Ranch Alpacas, for producing Ike, and allowing him to join us here at Delphi! At 8 months of age - YM's laserscan = 13.9 / 2.8 / 20.0 / 0.4% >30 At 20 months of age: 5-16-14: AFD 16.31 / SD 3.44 / CV 21.1 / 100% CF At 32 months of age: 5-24-15: AFD 20.5 / SD 4.2 / CV 20.7 / CF 97.3% At 44 months: 5-23-16: AFD 22.5 / SD 4.6 / CV 20.6 / CF 93.2% / curve 59.8 He's definitely the total package.

Ike is closed to outside breedings. Crias shown in the 'all of Ike's kids' picture posted here, include All of Ike's kids born to Delphi girls thru Jan 2019 at Delphi, except two that left with their mom's as little babies. His production consistency is unmatched. :^)

SALE Pending. * Mother of the 2017 Gray Female National AOA Halter Champion. * Currently open - includes your choice breeding! * Has nursed two crias at once, both topping weight gain charts. * Only available due to our semi-retirement plans. Jazz is the mom of The most exciting Delphi cria of 2016 - Delphi's Avella. Just stunning. The judges agreed - Avella was crowned the 2017 National Grey Female Halter Champion at just over 6 months of age. Jazz delivered another beautiful DRG Avatar daughter on 9/16/18. "Alta Mira" is the full sister to Avella. Alta Mira is not included with the purchase of Jazz. Jazz was also the adopted mom, of Nehi - a beautiful boy who lost his mom (to cancer) at just a few weeks of age. Jazz nursed both Avella and Nehi, both of which topped the cria group with their weight gains. Some very tough choices are part of our herd reduction plans. We are expecting to semi-retire in a few years, and we want Jazz to give be able to give her new owners many more babies. So we've made the decision that now is the time for her to find a great forever home, hence her very reasonable cash price. ;^) Jazzmine's Histograms: 2010: AFD 17.9, SD 3.4, CV 19.0, 0.5% >30 2012: AFD 21.0, SD 4.3, CV 20.7, 3.8% >30 2013: AFD 22.3 SD 4.7 CV 21.1, 5.8% >30 2014: AFD 21.6 SD 4.3 CV 19.8 3.6% >30

Description

No fault boy! Fantastic pedigree. While his color doesn't fit well into any show category - he's obviously trying very hard to be a classic gray. We had been calling him a stealth gray (at Delphi the term "stealth gray" is an alpaca that doesn't color check as a gray - but is likely to be gray genetically). But now that he's shorn - well, he's really not that stealthy anymore - lol! He clearly shows 10 or 11 gray spots throughout his blanket, more than we had anticipated. You'll have to decide for yourself how he fits into your color program. Pi has two classic gray, Rock Star parents: Pi is a maternal brother to 2017 AOA National grey halter Color Champion, and Pi's sire is Grey Futurity color champion, 9 X banner winner, Judge's choice fleece, "Ike". Pi: AFD 16.2 - SD 3.6 - CV 22.3 - 0.8% >30 @ 8 mos. old. Very fine and very dense feeling crimpy fleece. What a face on this typey, very correct young man, he just makes us smile for so many reasons! Straight and strong, he hit the ground running. Excellent conformation and bite, plus - a great personality. He'll make you smile too. Love his taupey beard - plus he has every other color of the rainbow: his blanket fades from a rich orangey, reddish brown, to a black neck and legs, to a golden fawn belly and chest. And we keep finding more gray spots. Shoulder, chest, hip . . . . The color checker at Mopaca found yet another gray spot the first place she looked on his side. But she didn't find enough to move him out of a very competitive brown class - where he did quite nicely, despite the fact his color variation is a fault in a brown class. Pi is an alpaca of a different color. ;^) SOLD
