Optimus Prime, or "Prime" around the farm, is a young male that has moved to the top of our "go to" breeding males. We knew when we matched our Champion dam Amalaya to Futurity/AOBA/IAO Champion PC Running Late the outcome could be something very special. This pairing did not disappoint when we received an ultra-fine, dense, light fawn male. Prime is a compact male with a beautiful, high energy fleece. He has a high frequency, high amplitude crimp that is carried from his top knot down to his legs. When his fleece is opened up it reveals organized bundling and an excellent staple length at over 4". His first years histogram speaks for itself and his second years is equally as impressive. His fleece continues to maintain elite fineness, consistency of micron and character throughout the entire blanket, along with above average density. His EPD stats have him ranked : Top 2% for AFD and SF Top 4% for SDAFD He was only shown once in 2012. As the youngest male in the group, he placed a respectable 5th out of 10 alpacas in the class. Judge Wade Gease praised his level of fineness, consistency of character and brightness throughout the fleece, but he was small and stated he needed to mature. By the end of summer he had gained over 20lbs and caught up with the other juvenile males. Primes babies are hitting the ground with gusto this year. He has been bred to everything from white to grey and colors in between. He is letting the dams color come through every time! Every one of his babies have excellent conformation eye popping shine to the fleece and lots of curls.

Pachulee hails from a potent line of herd sires including Victor and Caligula. Her fleece is a lovely light fawn and carries good density, fineness and staple length as well as being consistent across the blanket. Her 2011 fiber statistics were very impressive for her age: 24 micron with a 17 CV. Pachulee is an excellent mother, easy birther and produces lots of milk - her 2012 cria Grace weighed 57lbs at just over 3 mo's of age. Pachulee's second daughter, Sweet Ginger, was a stunner from birth and even better as she developed, taking a 2nd at the 2015 CABA Classic in a competitive class.

UNIFORMITY of character, fineness, and staple length! Amazing high frequency 3D crimp that carries well throughout his topknot, neck, blanket, legs, and tail. He has a wonderful long staple length complete with perfect individual small bundles from skin to tip and phenomenal density. His handle is supreme due to the uniformity of micron between primaries and secondaries. This Herdsire has little medulation which also contributes a superior handle. Superb brightness to his fleece! He "wows" me every time I see him and run my hands through his fleece. He has a perfect head, great coverage, and a perfect bite! Tronador's dam is the full sister to PCA Hemingway-Accoyo Nautilus and dam of Greg Mecklem's current herdsires: Accoyo America Synergy and ACCOYO AMERICA NORTH STAR AC020. Tronador's sire is Accoyo America Endeavor! An Accoyo El Nino son who has been stamping out superior cria. Endeavor is also the full brother to Accoyo America Denali, another fantastic herdsire in the Accoyo America stud row! Take a look at Tronador's Pedigree, there is not one animal in it who has not produced some of the most elite alpacas in the country. Lynn Eden's who now owns Tronador's dam and siblings said this on 8/23/13: "We just got Tronador's dam, Sequoia's, histogram results for this year -- at age 10 she is carrying a 20 micron fleece with a CV of 18.2% and just 1.5% over 30. Tron's older maternal brother North Star has a 19.8 micron fleece as a seven year old working male, and also maintaining outstanding consistency with just 1.8%>30. North Star is back east now, so Tron is carrying the west coast banner for Sequoia's amazing fleece genetics" Tronador's cria are hitting the ground and they are spectacular. He has been bred to a wide variety of dams with different phenotypes and all the cria are perfect little cookie cutter "Mini Trons". Oh, and if you are wondering about color, he is produced 4 solid colored crias when bred to 4 colored females so far. He has not produced a white or light from a colored female yet. He is letting the color pass while adding attributes from his elite white genetics. All his crias are showing early signs of elite fleeces. Born with bright, dense, very well stapled and crimpy, and exceptionally fine fiber on perfect little frames.

Description

Sweet Ginger is a stunning female and the first cria out of our sire Optimus Prime. She is a sturdy female with good substance of bone and straight top line. She has fleece coverage from her head to her toes and a very wooly face that requires trimming to prevent fleece blindness. Speaking of fleece, hers is outstanding! She is dense, fine and crimpy and has incredible shine to her fleece compliments of her sire. When you open the fiber the first thing to hit you is the shine, then the bundling and nearly 5inch staple length. Ginger was shown at the 2015 CABA classic in a very competitive fawn class where she placed 2nd next to the reserve color champion. We were very excited to receive Ginger's 2016 histogram. Before getting the results, we were seeing and feeling improvement over her first histogram (something we thought would be hard to do). Take a close look- AFD- 15.1, SD- 3.2, % over 30- 0.3, with a curve of 45.8. Her sire Optimus Prime truly stamped his fleece characteristics on this girl.
