Snowmass Matrix Liberation

Snowmass Matrix Liberation represents the elite qualities found within his pedigree. His sire is Snowmass Matrix, one of the best Snowmass Quechua sons ever produced. Matrix has consistently passed on the select qualities breeders are looking for: lingering fineness, density, bright well organized fleece on a pleasing frame. Liberation's dam, Snowmass Lady Liberty, is a beige Royal Reserve daughter adding the lines of Hemingway, Bueno, and Snowmaster. Her offspring have all placed high in the showring, demonstrating her ability to pass on her select traits and that of the stud. Combine all of this and you have a herdsire in Snowmass Matrix Liberation that carries the most desirable genetics in the industry. When we took possession of Liberation as a juvenile, he had a 6 inch staple with incredible consistency across the entire fleece. In the word's of Wade Gease at AWE 2010 "WOW, I was not expecting to see that when I opened up this fleece!". Liberation's second fleece has maintained that beautiful character and consistency across the body. Judge Mike Safley agreed with his comments at the 2011 AOBA National Show "This alpaca demonstrates great character throughout the fleece, a very long staple, and lingering fineness. The coverage on this alpaca is also very impressive". Liberation's strengths are found within his fleece- incredible shine, character, and long staple length. Add in a solid frame as well as his prepotent genetics and you have a herdsire that adds tremendous value to a breeding program. His show career was very consistent, much like his fleece. He was entered in 5 shows through 2010-2011, and placed 3rd in every show. He definitely held his own against some of the top farms in our industry! Liberation sired 5 cria in 2012; 4 female and 1 male ranging in color from bay black to white. He is consistently adding beautiful fleece character, superior staple length, consistency across the fleece and a brightness that literally makes the fleece shine. A beige daughter here on the farm may be the densest cria we have produced over the last 6 years.

Accoyo America Morning Star

AOA# 31097314DOB: 6/24/200717 yrs
Morning Star is a Full Accoyo daughter of Accoyo America Ulysses. Through her dam, 6P Accoyo Sophia, she has inherited an incredible fleece profile with a standard deviation of 2.6 microns, and exqusite bundling that parts cleanly on inspection. She has bright, fine-crimped fleece with a spinning fineness of 15.2 microns, typical of the acclaimed B-line Accoyos. Morning Star is a proven gal, with a good maternal instinct. She had 2 excellent crias for Gem State Alpacas. She produced a multi-champion male for us, and we plan to breed her this fall to Accoyo America Hawkeye. Morning Star is at our Marin County farm, in the North San Francisco Bay area.

Accoyo America Tronador

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)White

UNIFORMITY of character, fineness, and staple length! Amazing high frequency 3D crimp that carries well throughout his topknot, neck, blanket, legs, and tail. He has a wonderful long staple length complete with perfect individual small bundles from skin to tip and phenomenal density. His handle is supreme due to the uniformity of micron between primaries and secondaries. This Herdsire has little medulation which also contributes a superior handle. Superb brightness to his fleece! He "wows" me every time I see him and run my hands through his fleece. He has a perfect head, great coverage, and a perfect bite! Tronador's dam is the full sister to PCA Hemingway-Accoyo Nautilus and dam of Greg Mecklem's current herdsires: Accoyo America Synergy and ACCOYO AMERICA NORTH STAR AC020. Tronador's sire is Accoyo America Endeavor! An Accoyo El Nino son who has been stamping out superior cria. Endeavor is also the full brother to Accoyo America Denali, another fantastic herdsire in the Accoyo America stud row! Take a look at Tronador's Pedigree, there is not one animal in it who has not produced some of the most elite alpacas in the country. Lynn Eden's who now owns Tronador's dam and siblings said this on 8/23/13: "We just got Tronador's dam, Sequoia's, histogram results for this year -- at age 10 she is carrying a 20 micron fleece with a CV of 18.2% and just 1.5% over 30. Tron's older maternal brother North Star has a 19.8 micron fleece as a seven year old working male, and also maintaining outstanding consistency with just 1.8%>30. North Star is back east now, so Tron is carrying the west coast banner for Sequoia's amazing fleece genetics" Tronador's cria are hitting the ground and they are spectacular. He has been bred to a wide variety of dams with different phenotypes and all the cria are perfect little cookie cutter "Mini Trons". Oh, and if you are wondering about color, he is produced 4 solid colored crias when bred to 4 colored females so far. He has not produced a white or light from a colored female yet. He is letting the color pass while adding attributes from his elite white genetics. All his crias are showing early signs of elite fleeces. Born with bright, dense, very well stapled and crimpy, and exceptionally fine fiber on perfect little frames.

Description

What do you get when you cross the lines of two of the world's premier alpaca herds? You get Gem State's Morning Bell. It was not without a lot of discussion and debate that we decided to offer Bell for sale. Her fleece Championship at IAO this year was no fluke given her genetic lines and gorgeous fiber. On top of that, we have bred her to Starquest's Rocketman, our high ranking white stud in many EPD categories that's maintaining fineness/consistency and producing fantastic babies. If you're looking to start your herd off right or add to an existing elite fleeced breeding program, look no further than Bell. This girl is carrying a fine, consistent fleece, that exhibits a medium amplitude/frequency crimp and long staple - often seen in the Accoyo America herd. Her sire is our own Snowmass Matrix Liberation who no doubt infused his long staple, superb fineness, and immense brightness. Her dam also made significant contributions- a Ulysses daughter that at 5 years of age had these amazing histogram numbers- AFD 17.8 microns SD 3.2 CV 18.0 %>30=0.4.
