Snowmass Matrix Majesty was the Reserve Dark Herdsire of the Year award at the 2011 Futurity as well as the Fawn Champion at the 2010 Futurity and with good reason too. Since that time he has had several crops of crias born here at Cas-Cad-Nac and to say that he has been impactful in our breeding program, would be a gross understatement. In addition to multiple Championships and Judges' Choice awards (at both the 2014 AOA National Show and 2014 Futurity) his offspring have also combined to win multiple Get-of-sire classes for their all-world sire. Majesty was also the winner of the Futurity Herdsire of the Year awards again in both 2013 and 2014. Matrix Majesty is the genetic amalgam of some of the greatest names to ever grace the North American alpaca herd. Herdsires such as Chaccu, Legacy, Hemingway, Quechua, Matrix, Elite, Augusto, Accoyocusani, and Bueno are all present. Also present in his pedigree are the famous rock star dams PPP Prestige, 4P Isabella, PP Jesusa, and Snowmass Maree Love, the first three of whom we also had the great privilege of having here in our foundation herd late in their lives. Needless to say, the genetics in this guy are stacked and it shows. Snowmass Matrix Majesty displays the amazing fleece characteristics that the Quechua line has become known for: the combination of elite fineness and uniformity throughout while sacrificing nothing in density. Now fully owned by CCNF and used almost exclusively within our own herd where we play him off of the CCNF Elixir and CCNF Royal Ring of Fire lines, as of January 2017 Majesty is closed for outside stud service.

Description

Whoa, do the genetic math on this female as those waters run super-deep, going all the way back up to her great-great-maternal grand dam, PPeruvian Jesusa. Of course the more crib-notey version is that Sunstarlight is a member of what has to be considered the top pound-for-pound producing maternal line in our entire breeding program’s history. Her maternal sister, CCNF Oriflamme (sired by Elixir), finished a spring show season last year that ended with yet another Futurity banner after already being awarded the Light Championship and Judges’ Choice Female at the 2017 edition of that show! In addition to her kid sister, 5 (count 'em!) other members of her maternal family were part of our show string at the 2018 Futurity where they all total accounted for 5 1st place ribbons (including the dark Produce of Dam class), 1 Reserve Color Championship, 2 Color Championships, and both the male AND the female Judges' Choice Awards! Care to guess what those JC winners have in common? They were both out of female members of this maternal line (in this case Sunstarlight's maternal aunts) that had been sired by Matrix Majesty (sound familiar?) and that were then bred to Elixir. Never ones to redesign the wheel too much, this beautiful girl was bred to CCNF Elixir in 2017, in an attempt to riff on Oriflamme. The result was a gorgeous beige female named CCNF Requiem en Rose (we were gutted to lose Sunstarlight and Oriflamme's dam, La Vie en Rose earlier last summer) who we have retained for our breeding program. Sunstarlight is now pregnant a second time, bred again to the 2017 & 2018 Light Futurity Herdsire of the Year. She will of course sell with a live birth guarantee!
