IF YOU WANT TRUE BLACK OR SILVER GREY, DIAMOND IS YOUR GIRL!! She is a beautiful, strong, healthy girl, excellent mother, attentive to her cria with plenty of milk which is shown by their rapid growth and daily activity. She's an easy birther in record time from start to finish. Her fiber is crimpy and dense with unbelievable fineness for a girl registered as true black even at her age (23 AFD at about 12 years old). As time goes along she adds more and more silver as is the case with her sire. '06 cria, Diego took multiple blue ribbons in every show he was in and no wonder with 18.4 micron. '07 cria,Shadow, Diego's full brother had a fantastic fiber analysis with an MFD of 16.8, >30 .8%, and CF 99.2%. What FINENESS!! Shadow sold to Dry Creek Alpacas in Colorado and promptly took multiple blues & CCs. '08 cria, Angel of Grace is an amazing dark silver grey female out of Premier's Rubio. She has exceptional crimp and fineness and also took 1st place ribbons in every show she was in for 2009. '10 cria, Morning Starr's Black Pearle is a fantastic solid true black female sired by Legend's Challenger of KPR. Unfortunately, she was never shown, as she would have undoubtedly done well in the show ring. She is also on the market and with her great lineage on both sides her cria has 'Fantastically Awesome' written all over it. '12 cria, Rincon's King David is a true black boy sired by Rincon Cloud and he is perfect with unbelievable fiber coverage, density and crimp. Take a look at his listing for fiber details. Regardless of the service sire, Diamond produces exceptional cria and passes her remarkable fineness and micron on to them.

Description

INCREDIBLE DENSITY AND LASTING FINENESS IN THIS BOY His fiber results at just shy of 9 years old are amazing! 2015 Histogram - AFD 20.5; SD 4.4; CV 21.2; %>30 3.3; CF 96.3; still this fineness at 9 years of age for grey is amazing! His biopsy follicle test (via Ian Watt) is even more impressive! Density - 62.8/mm with a Secondary:Primary fiber ratio of 13.1:1. Only 3 grey alpacas have ever tested higher in density and no grey alpacas have a higher S:P ratio (in fact, only 7 alpacas in ANY color have a higher S:P ratio - including white!). You'll have trouble finding a grey to put up a combination of those kinds of numbers anywhere! And Diego’s lineage is impressive, too - PPeruvian Pluro, Danko, grandsire Crescent Moon’s Rayo Del Sol (6x Grand Color Champ) and Sire Emerald Farms Rincon Cloud, 2005 AOBA Silver Nat’l Grand Champion, are enough reason to want him in your breeding program! And if that wasn't enough, check out his EPDs! Diego has many cria on the ground & every one of them is lovely. He is clearly passing on his amazing fineness to his cria. 2014 Epic Alpaca Cria Histograms -- Avenger – 15.23 AFD -- Baratheon – 15.3 AFD -- Ophelia – 15.6 AFD -- Antoinette – 17.98 AFD -- Lazarus – 18.4 AFD LASTING FINENESS RUNS IN HIS BLOOD: Previous Cria Histograms -- Jacob at age 2 - 16.7 AFD -- Joshua at age 3 - 16.4 AFD -- Levi at age 2 - 20.1 AFD Relatives' Histograms -- Diamond (Mom) at age 12 - 23.00 AFD -- Black Pearle (Maternal Sister) at age 5 - 17.52 AFD -- Angel (Maternal Sister) at age 7 - 21.89 AFD -- Axel Cloud (Paternal Brother) at age 6 Diego’s string of blues began in ’07 with a rave review from Judge Wade Gease: “This young man had a presence as soon as he entered the ring…his feet glided across the grass, his toes pointed straight ahead…he’s consistent throughout…good density and wonderful fineness…beautiful conformation”. That was just the beginning followed by Wade praising him again at AlpacaMania for his “exceptional conformation, extreme fineness, beautiful crimp and consistent fiber character”. He continued to stock pile blues and more at every show and fiber exhibition he went to until he began breeding. Diego has a sweet personality, isn’t skittish and comes right to us or visitors. His fiber is exceptional and buttery fine, his micron stats have always been great for a light animal let alone his coloring! They rank right alongside with some of the best in the nation! His fineness, luster, excellent dense coverage, beautiful typey head and strong bone structure will add great qualities to any herd. Thanks to Epic Alpacas & Patagonia Estates for giving us an opportunity to own this amazing boy!
