Thank you to Diane Sheesley of Rainbow Mountain Alpacas for being a co-owner of this spectacular appy male! Fusion is now residing and standing stud at her farm in Punxsutawney, PA. We were excited to purchase this beautiful male from the well-respected grey suri breeding program at Shasta Springs Alpacas. Fusion is definitely "eye candy", and when you see him you will want to breed to him, too. He has a gentle nature, strong solid conformation, and exquisite appaloosa coloring. He continues to get darker and darker in coloration with each shearing like his sire, who is now a dark grey in color. He is a large, weighing in at 185 lbs. He was shorn at 1 year old, and his 1st fleece weighed 6 lbs. with a 3.4 lb blanket, and was 9" in length. It has been shown and won Reserve Champion Grey Suris at the 2012 Suri Network All Suri Fleece Show, the largest suri fleece show in the world! Diana Timmerman, AOA Fleece Judge for the Suri Network, commented that his "Fleece is showing good luster and softness for a grey." While greys and appaloosas/harlequins are not renowned for their fleece characteristics, Fusion placed 2nd in the 2019 MAPACA Jubilee Halter Show behind WLK Electrofyre for the Get of Sire Production Class. He also placed 4th in the 2017 AOA National Fleece Show Get of Sire Production Class for the stellar results of his offspring. It is rare for a grey/appaloosa to place high in this class! Fusion had 8 crias born in 2016, producing 4 males and 4 females, producing 75% appaloosas from a variety of color dams! Check out his crias: Kazmere (m, appy), JackKnife (m, appy), Harley Quinn (m, harlequin), Vanity (f, appy), Prismatic (f, appy), Quinn (m, solid color), Tootsie Pop (f, solid color), and Ebony's cria (f, appy). WRSR Zanzibar by Fusion, his latest 2022 appy cria is a beautiful harlequin appy male. Fusion has had 25 crias to date as of 5/9/25, with 20 of them showing appy phenotype. He has produced appaloosas/harlequins from W, BGMB, DB, all silver or rose greys, and pinto dams. His 20% of crias not showing the appy phenotype were 2 WH from pinto dams, 2 MB from a TB and DRG dams, and 1 BG from a pinto dam. Recommendation: Breed Fusion to any color dam except TB, BB, or pinto to optimize your odds for an appy cria. Fusion is now co-owned by Diane Sheesley at Rainbow Mountain Farms in Punxatawney, PA where he is standing stud. Fusion appears to be sensitive to very hot weather when his fertility declines. He his a big, healthy boy, but needs to breed in cooler weather. For more Information call Diane Sheesley at 814-952-2306 or Patti Anderson at 443-740-4240

News Flash! Pixie delivered another appy girl from Fusion on June 29th. She is that beautiful fawn base color with dark fawn spots and she will characteristically turn grey over the next year. She is healthy, born at 18.0 lbs, and very friendly. This girl's pedigree is loaded with well known names including SEATTLE MIST and CONDOR. Her dam is a dark silver grey female named WOLFPACA BLUSHING SHADOW by Seattle Mist, and her sire is USA MOONSHADOW. Moonshadow's dam, 4P SILVER ORCHID, is one of the 1st full Peruvian grey imports and she has produced numerous grey offspring. Pixie has SUPER bloodlines to produce both silver grey and rose grey offspring. Her fiber and coverage is excellent. Regrowth after multiple shearings still shows exceptional luster and locking. We are pleased to note that her fleece is also maintaining its fineness. Her 2017 histogram was impressive for a female of her age: 23.65 AFD, 5.12 SD, and 21.63 CV. Conformation is flawless and she has a beautiful head with perfect bite. Pixie was shown at large shows and competed very well. Pixie's daughter, WRSR Karina by Razor, won Reserve Color Champion at the 2015 Carolina Alpaca Show as a yearling and in her previously shorn fleece. She exemplifies fineness, density, and beautiful luster. Karina's sire is WRSR Accoyo Razor, and noted light fawn with retained fineness and density at the age of 14. Pixie will be a great foundation dam for many years to come, and has the background genetics to produce grey offspring. In June 2016, she delivered another female cria, WRSR Vanity Fair by Fusion, this time a gorgeous appaloosa by our herdsire, Fusion! Call Patti at 443-740-4240 or email for more information if you would like to add Pixie to your herd as a high end suri female with the ability to produce grey.

Description

Love this little girl! I am a little slow on naming, but this cria is healthy and robust. She has tiny little locks that have a rick rack wave at the skin, and lovely luster. Her current base color is a light fawn, but she has dark fawn and brown spots throughout her body and speckling on her face. As with the appies, she will change her base color over the next 2 years, going from light fawn, to light silver or rose grey, and perhaps to medium silver or rose grey with all those spots showing. Check out Fusion's baby pictures on his listing to see how much they change! She is quite friendly, independent, and curious. In anticipation of a show career, we have already started her on her halter training and she is doing great. She will be a great little girl for breeding and showing, and will be the "pasture eye-candy" that everyone needs on the
