Starling's Savannah Rose... I was searching for a grey female that would really jump start my grey breeding program. Specifically, I wanted a female that I could bring to California who's genetics were proven, yet diverse, so that I would have options in my favor when it came time to pick her future breedings. I also wanted a female that was conformationally sound and had such incredible fiber to pass on to the next generation for award-winning offspring. I found exactly what I was looking for at Starling Farms. Savannah Rose was stunning from birth and even though she was young I knew this was the girl to have in my herd. Her Sire, Quasar, is a fantastic Reserve Champion, Medium Silver Grey herdsire that has also proven himself with award-winning cria. Quasar's genetics include Pperuvian Leon, Silvio, and his very well-known sire, Shaquille. Savannah's conformation is very straight and her fiber is gorgeous with fineness, density and amazing crimp. With all of her qualities in mind, the time came to choose for her a Herdsire. Starling Farms has such an amazing lineup of Herdsires that it was difficult to decide, however, one male stood out and that was Alpaca Knights Mr. Sparks. This true black, award-winning male is the son of Legend's Challenger of KPR, and the grandson of Black Epic. Sparky has spectacular fleece and his cria are gorgeous.
