I purchased Diva last spring from a very good friend of mine who was retiring after 14 years in the business. She came from a very strong breeding program as you can tell by her pedigree. When we sheared her I was amazed at the size of her blanket. It was the heaviest of all 60 alpacas. We originally planned to breed her to our True Black Multi Color Champion, Malachi but because he had just turned 2 years old he was not getting the job done. Ezekiel is a lovely 2nd choice for her. She has the density and he will improve fineness. If you decide to go with Diva in the "Bun in the oven" auction she will come with both her 2015 cria and the breed back to Malachi. Sabamba's Malachi was given Color Champion over 25 black males by Judge Peter Kennedy. For those of you who may not be familiar with Mr Kennedy. He raised alpacas and specializes in Black Alpacas. Such an exciting moment to win CC from a judge who really knows good black! Malachi is now breeding so she will be bred to him for 2016. Two other judges also choose Malachi as their choice for Champion. He was only shown 4 times. We intend to show him one more time this sprng and hopefully will be showing those babies next year. His father Avalon Farm's "Our Peruvian Black Jag" is a very well known producer of multi champions. (look up Jacob Black - 19 banners and Jamacia Rose - 8 banners including 1 - Judges Choice)Black Jag had the ability to darken the color of the dame in the offspring. We believe Malachi will do the same. Him dame Crescent Moon's Ravina is a true black who has maintains her true black color and consistency and produces lovely yarn for our store as well as Champion Cria. This is a three in one package deal! This package is a great way to start a dark color breeding program. Feel free to call if you have any questions.

Description

Jewels will be again attending the Wisconsin Alpaca and Fiber Festival. She placed 2nd as a Juvi last year. Her Champion father's genetics have definitely come through on this girl. Long, consistant, fine fleece is all you will see when examining this girl - top to bottom and front to back. She has a very sweet personality to boot. We are excited to bring in in front of Peter Kennedy and would love to have you all come out to see her in the ring. Fiber sample and EPD results will be forthcoming soon on her.
