PATAGONIA'S STERLING
Sterling is a beautiful alpaca with excellent bloodlines. Two of Alpaca de la Patagonia's top herdsires are in her genetic makeup - Patagonia's Neruda (sire) and Shackleton (paternal grandsire). If you are not familiar with Neruda, he sold in April 2007 for $205,000 in the All-American Futurity when he was 8 years old. At 2.5 years of age, Neruda's histogram was: afd=17.4m, sd=3.6m, cv=20.5%, >30=0.7%. Neruda's crias are easily identifiable by their extremely fine fleeces, beautiful heads, substantially thick bone and extensive fiber coverage
Sterling's maternal grandsire, Sinopsis Nocturna, is jet black and fine. His outstanding fleece was recognized at the 1999 AOBA conference, where it was awarded the blue ribbon. His crias have beautiful heads, and elegant presence.
