Patagonia’s Chilkoot is a compact herdsire with long staple length, fine fleece, and bright, luscious fiber. He has a beautiful head and compact body. In 2014, Chilkoot was assessed by Senior Judge, Amanda VandenBosch as an “A-.“ He has consistency in micron as well as in color, large bones, and a gentle temperament. His sire is Patagonia’s Lennox, the ultimate Multi-Champion herdsire. His dam, Patagonia’s Augusta, is a top-line production dam on our ranch. Augusta is a 3x Color Champion and received Reserve Champion at AOBA. Augusta also won 6 blues ribbons in her show career (one being at The Futurity). ESTATES SENTIMENTAL JOURNEY Sentimental Journey's sire is Snowmass Andean Midnight, our dynamite true black male with extreme fineness. His grandsire is none other than Andean Bronze, the sire of Royal Bronze - from Snowmass' vicuna type alpaca retaining fineness under 20 microns after reaching maturity. Andean Midnight is also sire of 26x champion, Estates Stradivarius! Sentimental Journey's maternal grandsire (out of dam, Cecelia) is the well-known CPeruvian Axtion Jaxon, a non-Fading True Black who won GET OF SIRE at the 2005 Mid America Show competing against two strong whites (a rare winning for a black). Axtion Jaxon passes on color, fineness and tight crimp, and his micron in 2000 was only 18.4! Her maternal granddam Clarisa is a full Peruvian female sired by CPeruvian Black Hawk and has Timoteo and Drambuie in her ancestry. She has medium frequency crimp and an excellent density fleece. Sentimental Journey is passing down those champion genes. Her first pregnancy produced PATAGONIA ESTATES SAKIMA, a multiple blue ribbon winning son out of our Patagonia's Chilkoot. Sakima brought home 6 Black Championships, along with winning numerous Blue Ribbons, and has joined our black breeding program! Offspring: On 6/6/15, Sentimental Journey presented us with PATAGONIA ESTATES SAKIMA, a gorgeous true black male sired by Patagonia's Chilkoot. Sakima has been a member of our 2016 - 2018 show strings and is currently a 6x Black Champion along with winning numerous Blue Ribbons! On 7/4/16, Sentimental Journey gave us a pretty dark brown female also sired by Lennox son, Patagonia's Chilkoot. On 6/14/17, Sentimental Journey gave birth to a lovely true black female, again sired by Patagonia's Chilkoot. On 6/21/18, Sentimental Journey presented us with a beautiful bay black female sired by Estates Satin Cloud, our outstanding true black 8x Champion out of Snowmass Satin Reserve XX! On 6/8/19, Sentimental Journey had a handsome true black male. On 6/23/20, Sentimental Journey gave us an adorable dark brown female sired by our incredible Matrix son, Snowmass Pure Passion. AMBER AUTUMN HOT CHOCOLATE What a handsome package! This erect, solid frame, large bone male has a beautiful phenotype with fantastic coverage! Then opening up an extremely fine fleece, consistent with uniformity of microns across the blanket is a true joy! Check out Hot Chocolate's DENSITY! Holy Moly! Both of Hot Chocolate's parents are Champions and he most likely would have been a 4th generation champion. Legionnaire's 2018 micron test was AFD: 17.9 SD: 3.4 CV: 21.2 %>30: 0.5 and mean curvature of 58.6. He passes on amazing fleece traits including superior density to all his offspring. Hot Chocolate’s paternal sibling has the highest density from a skin biopsy ever recorded at 127.2 follicles/mm. CCNF Legionnaire is sporting a very Elite and stunning linage. Hot Chocolate's paternal grandparents are Snowmass Matrix Majesty (Snowmass Matrix X Snowmass Simply Scrumptious) and 10X Champion, CCNF Magdalena (Snowmass Legacy Gold X PPeruvian Jesusa.) His dam, Amber Autumn Holly Ho, won multiple Blue-Ribbons in 2014-2015, as well as 1st place and Reserve Champion at the 2014 Best of the US show. Hot Chocolate's maternal grandsire is a numerous Blue-Ribbon winner, Eclipse Alyst (out of Australian import, Jolimont 2 Peruvian Sweet William). Eclipse always shears our heaviest weighted fleece even at 8 years of age and is still holding his fineness nicely." We are astounded by their density, glowing brightness, independent bundles and micro-bundling, beautiful crimp and style, uniformity, and extremely fine fiber. In fact, their fleeces each have superior traits in all aspects. This covers beautiful frames with correct conformation, great coverage, and strong bone.
