Lingering fineness and production female
Grazing Hills Abigail
HuacayaBred (Female)Beige, Light Fawn
AOA# 31543606DOB: 6/8/200915 yrs
She delivered her first cria with apparent ease...when we checked before 6:00am September 16th, the baby was already nursing. It's a beautiful little female from PC Running Late that we named Bright and Early! Please check out the photos! Running Late always puts very fine fleeces on his offspring, and this cria was no exception.
Her 2015 cria, Adele, was also no exception! A beautiful medium fawn with eyeliner like her namesake! At her 1st shearing (6/8/16), she was a 15.7 micron and quite dense!
Abby was 24 pounds at birth and never slowed in growth so was very ready to breed the fall of 2010 as a yearling. The pedigree of this full Peruvian beauty includes great grandsires Caligula, Hemingway, Chaccu, and Snowmass Casanova. Add in Sicuani, Chipaya, Condori, and Picchucha on the female side for a real GENETIC POWERHOUSE!!
Abby has a lovely fine fleece and lots of it...superb density, uniform crimp. She is a beige as she sports a fawn coloration (see photos) on the back of her head and neck -- almost a tuxedo style -- as well as down her topline. Abby will produce color when bred to color. Please ask us to send you a sample of her fleece...you will appreciate the quality once you get to see and touch.
Abby is a healthy, well-proportioned girl, and we expect she will be a great producer of gorgeous crias for many years.
She was bred to one of our herdsires, King Hezekiah in 2017. She delivered a healthy fawn boy, who we named Archer. We are expecting a fine dense fleece from this match! We re-bred her back and she was due Summer 2019. She had a beautiful fawn girl, who we named Arya. She is already sold!
Abby is bred to our newer herdsire, Encore (a dark brown male).
