Very sad news... On Oct. 17, 2020 we had to say good bye to our very much loved male, Frontrunner. At age 16, he was diagnosed with kidney failure, so although a very, very hard decision we knew the kindest thing to do was to let him go. We will never forget this majestic herdsire and all he did for our farm. He was a regal proud male, always easy to handle and just a pleasure to have around. We will forever miss him. That'll Do Farm is very proud to offer the truly elite herdsire, My Peruvian Frontrunner. He is a male that we had always admired and to add him to our herd was a dream come true. Frontrunner has a very advanced, elite bundling fleece, nearly identical in character, density and style to that of thirteen-time champion Majestic Peruvian Jeremiah. In an extremely tough competition at the 2006 AOBA National Conference Fleece Show, Jeremiah won First Place and Light Color Champion and Frontrunner, a year younger won First Place and Reserve Color Champion right next to Jeremiah! Their fleece scores by AOBA Senior Judge Amanda Vandenbosch, were nearly identical with the major difference being fleece weight. Since Frontrunner was a year younger one would expect this. However, at the 2005 AOBA National Conference Fleece Show under AOBA Judge Cameron Holt, it was Frontrunner's fleece who scored a couple of points higher than Jeremiah! His sire is the mega-star, My Peruvian Rolex and his dam is the multi-champion Millenium daughter, My Peruvian Fenja, who won four championships before her retirement, including Judge's Choice. She is also the dam of the great herdsire, Peruvian Foundation. Look at Frontrunner's ARI, it is fully loaded with legendary animals! Frontrunner himself is the sire of many, many high-selling, multi-champion offspring. That'll Do Farm would like to share in our good fortune by offering Frontrunner's first breeding season here at a discounted breeding fee of $1,200. We also offer, as with all of our herdsires, a Live For 60 Days Cria Guarantee. We want you to have a wonderful, healthy cria as much as you do.

First show - Level 5 MAPACA 2014 and Duff places 4th out of 15. Judge Sharon Loner called her a 'fancy little show girl' and she was the youngest in the class! Then on to the OABA AlpacaFest, where Duff took a second, in a crazy competitive class. We go to very few shows which is a shame when you have an animal like this. She could of done so much more. On 7/11/16 Duff delivered a gorgeous dk fawn male cria 'Fig Newton' sired by our premier elite herdsire My Peruvian Frontrunner. Frontrunner needs no introduction, he has sired many champion high selling offspring. This young son of Duff/ Frontrunner has a phenomenal fleece as can be seen in the photo at right. I think we have another fancy little show boy! And Yes we do! See Fig Newton's details on his page. He's a winner! This is the reason Duff is so valuable - her combination with Frontrunner. Her son Fig is now our successful elite herdsire. On 6/26/18 Duff delivered another absolutely gorgeous light brown male cria, of course sired by Frontrunner. This boy has an amazing super, super dense fleece! It's times like this that you are glad the cria is a male. There was no doubt we would be rebreeding Duff to Frontrunner for a 2020 cria. On Sept. 16, 2020, she had another phenomenal cria! A beautiful beige male. He has that nice compact, correct frame that she throws, with a lovely so soft and fine fleece. Can't wait to get this little fella in the show ring! Sadly, we lost our premier herdsire Frontrunner at age 16. Unfortunately he passed before Duff could get bred back to him, so sad since seemed they're cross was magic. On Aug. 3, 2024, Duff delivered a gorgeous Appaloosa male cria, sired by the Appaloosa, Rare Gem Dunkin. The fleece on this big spotty is already looking nice, very soft with lovely crimpy character. Live For 60 Days Cria Guarantee, we want you to have a wonderful, healthy cria as much as you do.

Description

Fig continued to bring home the Blues! He won his class at the 2018 Buckeye Alpaca Show, a large and very tough show! Fig also took first in a VERY competitive halter class at the 2017 Buckeye Show. Then he went on to win his Walking Fleece class at another very competitive show, the 2017 MAPACA Jubilee, where he followed that with placing second in both of his halter classes. Quite an accomplishment! Take a look at his histogram report, that itself, completely explains his success in the show ring. It is too bad for Fig that we are a very small farm, less than 20 animals and only go to a few shows a year. I know he could of accomplished so much more with more exposure. The judges have commented on his 'look', that excellent conformation with loads of fleece on his nice square compact frame. His fleece's architecture is densely loaded with small independent bundles that carry a high frequency crimp throughout the whole length of his very long staple and his 17.5 micron fineness creates such a lovely handle, so soft! Add to all that his cute curb appeal and you just couldn't ask for any more in this lovely young male! Fig is a true result of his pedigree, there is not a weak spot in it. With his exceptional fleece characteristics and very interesting color genetics it should be so much fun to see what he produces next! CONGRATULATIONS to Fig's 2020 cria, Thatll Do Figgy Pudding, for winning her Color Championship at the 2021 Buckeye Fall Fest! and then went on to winning her second banner at Nationals for Best Bred and Owned! We are a very small farm and have only had 3 crias sired by Fig so far and all three have won blues at large shows.
