Contact us on how to acquire and Avatar breeding or if you have an interest in our share.... Thank you to Linda Bat at Delphi Alpacas for allowing us to partner with her in this beautiful male! I am unbelievably honored and excited to be a part of this adventure. I have been a huge fan of Avatar's from the moment I saw and touched his fleece - just ask Linda how many times I begged for an outside breeding!!!! I followed (aka stalked:) him and his wonderful offspring for a very long time and am now thrilled to add him to our herdsire lineup. Avatar has been closed to outside breedings at Delphi Alpacas except to established clients and we will also have the same policy, with one tiny exception. We have to celebrate and to let you in on the celebration, we will offer three outside breedings at a special rate. This "celebration" deal is at Alpaca Annuals and only until July 2014 before he heads back to Delphi. Of course there will be lots of females bred to him and cria available from both farms, but this is your chance to have your own special girl bred with this amazing male. If you want details, please contact me before they are gone. Avatar has wonderful crimpy, dense and fine fleece, but what truly separates him from the other outstanding herdsires is his phenomenal handle - due only in part to the exceptional uniformity of his fleece. Cameron Holt, AOBA Senior Judge Trainer and world wide fiber expert, gave the following scores to Avatar's fleece: Fineness: 15 out of 15 ; Handle: 5 out of 5 ; Uniformity of micron: 7 out of 8 ; Crimp: 8.5 out of 10 ; Density: 3 out of 5 ; Brightness: 8 out of 10 ; Lack of medullation: 8 out of 10. (Scores are given without regard to color). Avatar's many crias include Futurity and AOBA National Show Champions, several National Fleece Champions, and many many Multi-Champion and Blue Ribbon show winners. Visit http://www.AvatarStarz.com To see Avatar's Blue Ribbon & Champion babies from across the country! They are beautiful.

Aerie had a unique grey coloring -- the lavender-grey of of early morning light across the Rockies. Her fiber was very fine with great uniformity and consistency between the light and dark fibers. Her crimp, a low amplitude / high frequency that gave lively energy to yarn made from it. This is not surprising, as the granddaughter of ATV Addonnis, 14x Champion in his day (which was amazing in that time!)! She was bred to Mile High Deacon Grey, 14x Champion grey male for her first cria! We were so excited that she produced a lavender grey girl in her spitting image (well, except for her definitive brown leg!) Gracie was slow to embrace breeding, but now produces lovely grey offspring herself! Aerie was bred to another great grey male for a 2015 black girl, our lovely Primrose. Primrose is one close to our heart and will likely stay at our farm for her life. On top of it, she makes wonderful fibered crias! For her 2016 cria, she produced a classic rose grey girl from Avatar. This one is the best yet! We named her Loraleigh. Loraleigh has gone on to produce her own grey cria, namely our regal rose grey male, Reposado. When bred to the stunning Granite's Bay Royal Steel she produced a lovely DRG male. If you have not seen Steel in person, put your hands on his fleece, you should! He has 'all that' in fineness, shine, crimp, organization, density, and LOTS of coverage. His CMRG boy by Aerie was a little off the mark but had great fineness and shine. Siderite has moved on to his own future at another farm. She followed this by a beautiful silver grey boy sired by US Steel, that we named American Ultra and added to our herdsire row. Last but not least, she gave us our Lilac Bloom. But, giving her a year off last year, we didn't know this was to be her last. She passed away suddenly, one day the picture of health and the next day slipped away quietly from what a vet has said is indicative of heart attack. We are immensely sad to lose our quiet and calm Aerie and hope she is enjoying green fields where she is at.

A spectacular result from the pairing of K with the exceptional Avalon's Jacob Black. The genetics here are amazing. We were pleased in his grey coloration with the genetics of this pairing. This male has one of the finest fleeces of all crias ever born on our farm. It has beautiful crimp and organization, shine and staple. As he matures we expect that he will show off is fleece wonderfully in the ring. And for spinning -- it is hands-down amazing to the touch! Truthsayer's first cria, a beautiful DRG girl out of Merida, has gone on to win the grey female COLOR CHAMPION in the 2021 AOA National Fleece Show -- with her tui tips and all her vegetative matter from being uncoated. So excited that the judge saw her worth past all of that 'noise'.

Description

Avatar daughter. This girl is a fantastic addition to our grey foundation.... her first cria, Reposado, is a lovely combination of Loreleigh with BSRA Snowmass Enlightenment's Patron that is a robust boy whose rose grey fiber gets better each day. Then we followed this with a breeding to out Majestic's Trouble to produce a lovely dark fawn girl we named Golden Amethyst. We are only considering her for sell since we have her sisters in our foundation and both her son and her brother in our herdsire row. We have confirmed by ultrasound that she is bred her to our multiple champion grey herdsire, AutumnSun's Truthsayer -- for what is sure to be a spectacular cria.

Awards

Just barely old enough to show and still sporting tui tips, Loraleigh won a 5th at her very first show, 2017 MOPACA juvenile huacaya grey female, Wade Gease. The judge had a lot of positive comments...."Good handle", "nice headstyle", "superfine", "one I would keep my eye on".
