Thatll Do Mesquite's Peruvian Mr. Big

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Brown
AOA# 32153699DOB: 6/15/201113 yrs
Mr. Big-- Producer of Champions AND GLAMOR MODELS!! His son, Charming, has "hit the runway"! Mr. Big is sired by MFI Peruvian Black Mesquite-- thought to be one of the most successful black herdsire in the industry. At his peak, his breedings sold for $7500. His offspring have dominated at the shows across the country for years. Mr. Big's dam 'Maia' is a two time 'Produce of Dam' blue ribbon winner and is a daughter of MFI Peruvian Jericho, who has produced offspring that have won over 130 championships. He is also the sire of Majestic Peruvian Jeremiah. Mr. Big's fleece is very, very dense with zipper crimp, full of character and beautiful brightness-- even at age 10. When shown under Wade Gease, he described it as being very velvety. Mr. Big is a solidly built boy with big bone, straight legs. Mr. Big is a real 'eat pellets out of your hand' kinda guy. He has a confident, calm, very relaxed disposition which makes him very nice to handle and show. Show History: Mr. Big's first show and it's a first place! At The Best Of the US Show in Columbus Oh. March 10, 2012. Mr. Big placed second at the 2012 AOBA Nationals in Louisville, KY. First show of 2013 for Mr. Big and he placed 3rd in a very large competitive class at the Best of the US Show in the dark brown yearling male class (this is the only show that they did not put him the multi class). Amanda Vandenbosch appreciated his denseness with it's lovely character, along with his substantial frame and big bone. Finally they offered a championship for multis, at the 2013 MAPACA Show, a level 5 show and Mr. Big won the Reserve Championship. Still going strong in 2014 with a first at the Best of the US Show in Columbus, Ohio, and then followed that up with another blue at the 2014 Kentucky Classic in Lexington, Ky. and another blue at the 2014 MAPACA Jubilee! 2014 OABA AlpacaFest and another blue. Mr. Big now has six offspring on the ground. Five are True Blacks out of True Blacks and one is dark brown out of bay black. Daughter, Rare Gem Grace O'Malley, is a 3X banner winner and will be consigned to the 2023 Parade of Champions Auction in New York.

Congrats to Mike and Britt McAdams!

That ll Do Annelise

HuacayaBred (Female)True Black
AOA# 32012767DOB: 7/18/201014 yrs
Annelise is a pretty girl-- bright, soft and as truly blue-black as you can get. Her conformation is very straight, straight topline and upright neck carriage. She is sired by the light silver grey multi-champion, My Peruvian Sky King. He stood on Magical Farms Stud Row his entire breeding career. He carries a solid, dense, fine advanced fleece. Bred to a grey, Annelise will have a good chance of having a grey cria. Coming from a pedigree of almost all blacks and greys, and carrying such names as Pistol, Silvio, Dakotia and Bueno, Annelise's breedings are very promising and great fun! On May 22, 2014 Annelise had her first cria! He is sired by the 2011 AOBA National Fleece Show Reserve Champion, MFI Peruvian Allblack. Annelise had Allblack's first male cria, a big, 19 lb. very strong and healthy, beautiful, true black boy. He is as black as black can be, and he is showing nice fineness, just incredibly soft! Congratulations to his 4 Musketeers Alpaca Farm for adding him to their herd. And Annelise does it again! On June 15, 2015, Annelise gave birth to another beautiful true black boy. He is sired by 2013 MAPACA Jubilee (Level 5) Reserve Color Champion, That ll Do Mesquite's Mr. Big. This cria is another big 21 lb. strong, healthy boy. He also is as black as black can be and is showing nice fineness and crimp. Congratulations to Carol and Donnie Garland from Lake Matthews on their purchase of this handsome boy! Annelise has now proven herself as an easy breeder, capable of holding pregnancies even during challenging times. After a single introduction to her service sire, she held her pregnancy through emergency fire evacuations, "temporary" housing and a move to our new home in Southern California. After all this, she delivered a robust, healthy true black girl in 2016!

Rare Gem XXXtreme Spots

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Beige, Light Fawn
AOA# 35195405DOB: 7/1/201410 yrs
"Spots" is a new comer to the appaloosa alpaca scene. Spots' appaloosa gene comes from NGG Lional-- a known appaloosa carrier that has been well-proven in Canada but is rather rare in the United States. In the past... in the United States... the appy program has been focused on achieving the spots which required certain genetic combinations, but unfortunately... not always best known for outstanding fleece qualities. What is so special about Spots from an appaloosa breeder program perspective is that he carries elite-fleeced heavy hitter lines in his pedigree such as Legacy, El Nino, and XXXtreme (out of Hemingway) ALONG WITH the expressed appy gene! These elite-fleeced alpacas are known for their lasting-fineness and density. Not only does Spots sport a sweet, easy-to-handle disposition... his fleece is exactly what you would expect from such a stellar pedigree. He is dense and fine and FULL of crimp! Expect lasting fineness from this guy-- his sire, Sai-Hoji, was 21 micron at 11 years old! Spots dam is a beautiful Snowmass XXXtreme daughter that is currently listed on Openherd for $20,000 by Bella Fina Farm. Spots' first offspring arrived 10/17/18... a beautiful appaloosa male. Looks just like daddy... with even more spots! The dam, Faith, is a vicuna brown non-appaloosa gene carrier... so dad is responsible for the patterning. Way to go Spots! Skin Biopsy Results by Norm Evans: Density 69.75 follicles SQ MM, glandular presence 4 of 4, Avg. SP 12.7 to 1. Micron variation 11.3 with an AFD of 20.68. UPDATE / June 2019: Spot's now has 3 offspring on the ground. Two are classic appaloosa and one is a reverse appaloosa. All are exquisite in their own way and we couldn't be more pleased with this fabulous progeny beginning.
