Thatll Do Mesquite's Peruvian Mr. Big

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Brown
AOA# 32153699DOB: 6/15/201113 yrs
Mr. Big-- Producer of Champions AND GLAMOR MODELS!! His son, Charming, has "hit the runway"! Mr. Big is sired by MFI Peruvian Black Mesquite-- thought to be one of the most successful black herdsire in the industry. At his peak, his breedings sold for $7500. His offspring have dominated at the shows across the country for years. Mr. Big's dam 'Maia' is a two time 'Produce of Dam' blue ribbon winner and is a daughter of MFI Peruvian Jericho, who has produced offspring that have won over 130 championships. He is also the sire of Majestic Peruvian Jeremiah. Mr. Big's fleece is very, very dense with zipper crimp, full of character and beautiful brightness-- even at age 10. When shown under Wade Gease, he described it as being very velvety. Mr. Big is a solidly built boy with big bone, straight legs. Mr. Big is a real 'eat pellets out of your hand' kinda guy. He has a confident, calm, very relaxed disposition which makes him very nice to handle and show. Show History: Mr. Big's first show and it's a first place! At The Best Of the US Show in Columbus Oh. March 10, 2012. Mr. Big placed second at the 2012 AOBA Nationals in Louisville, KY. First show of 2013 for Mr. Big and he placed 3rd in a very large competitive class at the Best of the US Show in the dark brown yearling male class (this is the only show that they did not put him the multi class). Amanda Vandenbosch appreciated his denseness with it's lovely character, along with his substantial frame and big bone. Finally they offered a championship for multis, at the 2013 MAPACA Show, a level 5 show and Mr. Big won the Reserve Championship. Still going strong in 2014 with a first at the Best of the US Show in Columbus, Ohio, and then followed that up with another blue at the 2014 Kentucky Classic in Lexington, Ky. and another blue at the 2014 MAPACA Jubilee! 2014 OABA AlpacaFest and another blue. Mr. Big now has six offspring on the ground. Five are True Blacks out of True Blacks and one is dark brown out of bay black. Daughter, Rare Gem Grace O'Malley, is a 3X banner winner and will be consigned to the 2023 Parade of Champions Auction in New York.

Dam: TCB Corky

SOLD - Congrats to the Champoux family!

TCB Corky

HuacayaOpen (Female)True Black
AOA# 30471467DOB: 2/22/200618 yrs
Corky is only one of two true black females ever produced from 6 Peruvian The Last Don! Corky is a full Peruvian, half Accoyo true black with impressive genetics. She was sired by the one and only 6Peruvian Accoyo The Last Don and her dam was 5Peruvian Indigo Ink. These two alpacas were Peruvian imports and quickly made their mark in the industry. Corky is exceptional for a true black just like her mom. She is well-proportioned, true to type with a proper head and broad muzzle. Corky has excellent substance of bone with good body capacity through her chest. Even though Corky is one of Rare Gem's mature foundation girls, her fleece and topknot are still thick and dense at almost 12 years of age. Her fleece is still crimpy and bright. We really appreciate Corky’s classic Accoyo look as evidenced by her compact broad muzzle. Corky was bred to Taos' Peruvian Pearl Jam and produced a beautiful 2014 cria BMF Pearl Jam's Indigo Ink Spot! "Wow" is the result of this breeding. Pearl Jam is a 9x Blue Ribbon winner and full brother to BMF Taos' Zeppelin! His Pearl Jam fineness and crimp genetics with this Last Don gal shows again just what she can produce. 2016 Update: Corky produced another silky-fleeced cria, Rare Gem Grace O'Malley. She has proven herself to deliver quality. Her genetics are great match for any color phased herdsire of quality. 2017 Updates: - Corky's 2016 progeny, Rare Gem Grace O'Malley, entered the show world this year and took Black Reserve Color Champion in the Cottage Fleece Competition at the 2017 AOA National Fleece Show. - 11/21/17 Corky throws a gorgeous modern grey female cria!! 2019 Update: - June 2019... meet the arrival of Corky's handsome jet black young man, RG Cuppa Joe!

Service Sire: Rare Gem X Man (Appaloosa)

2024 Parade Of Champions Consignment!

Rare Gem X Man (Appaloosa)

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)White, Medium Fawn
AOA# 35589129DOB: 9/29/20186 yrs
He’s a superhero all right! X man is not just the sire of beautifully fleeced appaloosas and harlequins from solid females but also produced a harlequin that was awarded 2023 grey female National Champion. His pedigree is stacked with elite solid colored ancestry and he carries the appaloosa genotype of his ancestor NGG Lionel. This boy is five years old and just getting started. This priceless opportunity will be made available June 1, 2024-- Parade of Champions Auction in N. Salem, New York. Come see him in person. Online bidding will be available as well. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If your goal is to produce elite-fleeced appaloosas and harlequins, this young male is for you. He is handsome and well-grown-- 190 lbs. (Feb 2024) He carries elite-fleeced heavy hitters in his pedigree such as Legacy, El Nino, and Snowmass XXXtreme. These elite-fleeced alpacas are known for their lasting-fineness and density. GSire Accoyo America Sai-Hoji was 21 micron at 11 years of age! Not only does X Man sport a sweet, easy-to-handle disposition... his fleece is exactly what you would expect from such a stellar pedigree. He is dense and fine and FULL of crimp! He has a tight primary to secondary ratio with an AFD of 21.2, SD 3.9 and Fibers Greater than 30=0.6%. (Age 4) Expect lasting fineness from this guy! X Man now has 17 offspring on the ground. We are extremely pleased with the quality and coloration of his progeny. They are having great success at shows and on the auction stages. A couple of noteworthy accomplishments... June 2023 - X Man's harlequin offspring Monet's Palette of DVAF sold at the New York Parade of Champions after some very competitive bidding. July 2023 - X Man's harlequin offspring - Derwydd's Pukka-Dot by X-Man took the GREY Color Champion at the 2023 AOA National Fleece Show. Description

Congratulation to Marilyn and Michael Kennedy of That'll Do Farm on their purchase of Grace bred to RG X-Man and cria Bigglesworth! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * 3-in-1 package for multi-breeders! This TB 3X banner winner carries a pattern gene from her sire and has thrown multi and harlequin appaloosa 3 out of 4 times. Package also includes 2022 harlequin cria sired by champion harlequin, Hercules of IPH… and another in the oven! Grace is bred to appaloosa stud, Rare Gem X Man! Great diversity of pattern genetics in this package consigned to the Parade of Champions Auction-- June 3, 2023 in North Salem, New York. Telephone and Online bidding information coming soon. Please check back for more info. Bred and born at Rare Gem Alpacas. LOVE this girl! Gorgeous fleece. Nicely conformed. Sweet, quirky personality! Cutest teddy-bear head. Fleece show banner winner at 1 year old! Then two more banners, 3 firsts and a second at the Txolan Sweetheart Spectacular @ 20 months. She has it all. Grace O'Malley comes from an extremely productive line. Grace's granddam, 5Peruvian Indigo Ink, was on the last import from Peru and before she passed at age 16, produced 14 registered cria in the United States!! Corky, Grace's mum, has produced 6 cria so far... all females. Grace is following in her dam and gdam's hoof-prints. At just age six, she has produced 4 wonderful offspring and is pregnant with her fifth! She is an easy breeder and wonderful mother. She has always gotten pregnant with just one breeding and holds her pregnancies and maintains a solid weight even while nursing her cria. She was even pregnant when she was winning banners at Txolan in 2019. Nothing much bothers Grace. Grace's sire is champion pinto out of TB, Black Mesquite. Although solid in color, Grace carries a pinto pattern allele from her pinto sire. Grace has thrown two pintos, one solid and a harlequin appaloosa so far. The second pinto was truly unique-- his blanket was black at birth... yes, a black pinto! He is stunning. And then for his next act, he roaned out and turned a lovely silver grey. Something I have not seen before. Grace is also the maternal sibling to the deceased Lady London. Another truly unique alpaca. Lady London was the result of pairing Grace's True Black dam with a harlequin appaloosa. Lady London, was a blue grey modern. She had no white fibers and extremities leaned towards black. The coat color was so striking that we attempted to replicate it through ET... unfortunately, unsuccessfully. A picture of Lady London has been included in Grace's profile pictures. Cria at Side-- Mr. Bigglesworth is currently a fawn-taupe with black spots. As harlequins do, he will darken over time. In addition to the coloration that we hope for, Mr. Bigglesworth is sporting a very curly, bundled fleece and lovely phenotype with nice bone and straight legs from the get-go. This young male's pedigree is packed with harlequin.
