Grand River Marquis

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)White, Dark Silver Grey
AOA# 31983341DOB: 7/1/201014 yrs
Marquis is a beautiful dark, silver grey herdsire with a very dense fleece that exhibits a really soft, high frequency crimp. He has produced two grey crias, one rose grey cria and one black cria for us since he joined our ranch. With his exceptional confirmation, nice color and great genetics, we have chosen to breed him to multiple girls this year. As stated by the farm that bred him, Grand River: "Marquis has a stunning look to him and his fleece is very dense and fine with a zippered style crimp which is consistent throughout. The genetics this male carries should make your decision to purchase him even easier. This male carries the genetics from Dark Shaddow, 2006 Dark Futurity Herdsire of the Year and multiple true black champion and champion producer. Marquis is also grandson to Rincon Cloud, 2005 AOBA National Show Gray male color champion, Accoyo Peruvian Legacy, 2X Futurity Herdsire of the Year winner. His grandmother is Fortune Cookie, producer of 2 champions. His dam, Dutchess, is full sister to 4x champion Grand River Luminosity and champion Grand River Esperanza. Marquis paternal grandsire is Bolivian Vesuvius. Marquis has it all. In his very first show he brought home a blue ribbon, carrying on the family tradition of blue ribbon winners.

Description

Rina has a pedigree full of silver grey and rose grey! Looking at the family tree listed on her certificate she has 11 ancestors who are either silver grey or rose grey. She produces really great babies! Rina's first cria was a stunning rose grey male who was shown twice and won first place both times and also a reserve championship. Don't miss the chance to add her grey genes to your herd! Her babies have never disappointed us no matter which male we breed her to. Rina had a beautiful 17 pound rose grey female cria on March 28, 2019. All of Rina's crias have sold at very early ages. She has been rebred to Grand River Marquis in the hopes of repeating the beautiful rose grey cria she had in 2019 when bred to him. Her next cria will be due in early 2021
