Over the 7 years that we have been breeding alpacas, there has been a disproportionate number of females - males born on our farm; 17 males to 8 females to be exact. Admittedly, it was a bit frustrating to produce only one female per year, but we have been blessed with some incredibly nice males too. Bolero is a perfect example. His dam is our Archangel daughter that at 5yrs of age still has an AFD 20.6, CV 19.7 and %30-2.3. His sire, Snowmass Inspiration, was sporting an AFD 23.2, CV 21.5 at 6yrs of age. Bolero got the best of both parents. His fleece is outrageously soft with zipper crimp and micro-bundling that literally extends down his leg fiber. He is very typey with full coverage from his head to his toes and has a very correct, compact frame. **UPDATE** I just finished skirting Bolero's 2014 fleece and it is amazing! Still super fine, with beautiful character and brightness. The judges agreed as Bolero came home with a blue and RC at IAO this spring! If you are interested in adding his genetics to your program give us a call - we are happy to send fleece samples. CONGRATULATIONS to Ben, Kristi and family of Mac Paca Farm for their purchase of this magnificent herdsire! We wish you many happy, healthy champion cria.

Congratulations to Cas-Cad-Nac farm for purchasing this beautiful female! When we got the opportunity in 2011 to get a breeding to Accoyo America Kashmir, we jumped at it. We put our best white female Blossom to him and the result was Kashmira. "Mira" has surpassed our expectations on so many levels. She is conformationally spot on and has a gorgeous head to boot. She has excellent density and character in a uniform, fine fleece. Her 2015 fleece statistics are amazing and she was 11mo's pregnant at the time. Mira delivered a beautiful little female on 6-30-2015. Although she's less than a month old, she is showing great promise! The decision to sell our herd was not an easy one after 10 years of alpaca enjoyment. Now that we have begun that process, there are a few pacas that are difficult to think of letting go of. Mira is by far one of my (Mark) favorites. She is an absolute sweet heart to deal with, but more importantly she has one of the best overall fleeces and confirmation on the farm. Travel always prevented us from showing her, but I have NO doubt she would have placed high. She is uber fine as well as significantly dense. The character is high and tight, something we covet. The $8,000 we are asking is very well worth the investment. Her first cria (daughter) has progressed to become a spitting image of Mira- sporting a 14.9 AFD, 3.3 SD, 0.4 % over 30, and a 46 Curve- she truly is following in Mira's footsteps. An astute breeder will recognize her strong lineage, and continued fiber excellence. Mira is currently pregnant to Magic Man. Check out his page to recognize the EPD power we have put into this breeding. His consistency and seriously eye-catching character will no doubt produce excellence.
