Optimus Prime, or "Prime" around the farm, is a young male that has moved to the top of our "go to" breeding males. We knew when we matched our Champion dam Amalaya to Futurity/AOBA/IAO Champion PC Running Late the outcome could be something very special. This pairing did not disappoint when we received an ultra-fine, dense, light fawn male. Prime is a compact male with a beautiful, high energy fleece. He has a high frequency, high amplitude crimp that is carried from his top knot down to his legs. When his fleece is opened up it reveals organized bundling and an excellent staple length at over 4". His first years histogram speaks for itself and his second years is equally as impressive. His fleece continues to maintain elite fineness, consistency of micron and character throughout the entire blanket, along with above average density. His EPD stats have him ranked : Top 2% for AFD and SF Top 4% for SDAFD He was only shown once in 2012. As the youngest male in the group, he placed a respectable 5th out of 10 alpacas in the class. Judge Wade Gease praised his level of fineness, consistency of character and brightness throughout the fleece, but he was small and stated he needed to mature. By the end of summer he had gained over 20lbs and caught up with the other juvenile males. Primes babies are hitting the ground with gusto this year. He has been bred to everything from white to grey and colors in between. He is letting the dams color come through every time! Every one of his babies have excellent conformation eye popping shine to the fleece and lots of curls.

This young female is "potential packing a punch!" Her genetic lines are among the heavy hitters of the alpaca industry and boasts the likes of 6Peruvian Accoyo Elite, 4Peruvian Legacy, Snowmass Andean Bronze, and LB Peruvian Castano Bay - you do not have to go deep into her pedigree to find these superstars. Her sire, Crescent Moons Accoyo Barreda, is the son of Accoyo Elite. Elite's EPD statistics are a testament to his pre-potency and the value in fiber he has passed on to his progeny. As of 2013, Elite ranks in the top 1% for AFD, SDAFD, SF, %>30, SDMC, and %MC-->and this is Lacey's grandfather! Her dam, Paintbrush Andean Rose is no slouch either. She's a color champion with blue ribbons to her credit and her offspring have been awesome! Take a look at Lacey's half sister Sable XXXtreme. Lacey is a medium framed female carrying an enormous amount of fiber. She has wonderful architecture and bundling to her fleece and it carries evenly throughout her blanket. She is primarily a medium brown but does have visible white secondaries throughout her blanket as well -modern rose gray? She has good fineness and handle and a beautiful shine when the fleece is parted.

Description

Silky is a pretty little female that has developed a beautiful fleece. She has wonderful character and fineness that bundles up nicely. She has some serious genetic gravitas in her pedigree - check out the sire and dam links above. Her blanket is a solid medium fawn but she's got some smokey coloring in her face and by her feet. I wouldn't hesitate to breed this girl to gray for an exciting result. She is very fine and that is consistent across her blanket, compliments of her sire. She could use some density and added weight to her frame so would pair her accordingly. She is currently open and would be ready for her maiden breeding in the summer of 2017. If you have questions or would like fleece samples don't hesitate to let us know. Thanks for looking and happy holidays!
