Quintessence is a beautiful dark bay black female out of the famous FDA's Captain's Picasso. Her pedigree is second to none with champion bloodlines backing her up, including Captain Morgan, Macgyver, Bruxo, Uribe, Accoyo Baron Lafite and Ganador! Quinny exhibits the classic suri phenotype in her deep rich black mahogany fleece and perfect conformation. Her fine fleece has great luster throughout an independent lock structure. She literally drips with luster, luster, luster!! Under all that wonderful fleece is a strong frame and bone structure which supports advantageous breeding characteristics. Quinny's 2017 skin biopsy as a 6 year old black female showed excellent fiber characteristics. Her density measured 51.25 follicles SQ MM, while her S/P ratio was 13.1. She has level 4 of 4 gland presence and a SP spread of only 6.7 microns. Her biopsy AFD is 29 micron. These stats show extremely strong uniformity at her micron level which explains why her fleece feels so soft. Quintessence has top EPD rankings in several fiber traits: %M-- Top 5% FW-- Top 3% Quintessence is a top stud female who has produced champion offspring. She is a great Mom who produces lots of milk and is an easy birther. In the summer of 2015, Quintessence gave birth to a stunning black female cria out of the famous multi champion brown herdsire, Enrique. This little female has proven her worth in our show string, winning first and Reserve Color Champion at the 2017 CABA Halter Show (as a shorn yearling) and Reserve Champion at the 2016 AOA National Fleece Show, first place- 2016 ABI Breeders Best Three, along with other multiple show winnings. Because of the great success with her breeding to Enrique, we bred Quintessence to Kokatahee, a dark fawn award winning son of Enrique. Quinny gave us a gorgeous light brown female cria in 2016 loaded with luster, luster, luster! Cocobola is a show stopper and won first place and Color Champion at the Suri Network All Suri Fleece Show, second place at the 2017 AOA National Halter Show and won first place at the 2017 AOA National Fleece Show. In June 2018, Quinny had a gorgeous black male out of Midas' Black Ice. This boy is a stunner and can't wait to put him in the 2019 spring show string.

Description

This young female is an eye catcher. Cocobolo’s phenomenal fleece captured not only our eyes, but those of senior fleece and halter judges as her show awards attest. Outstanding luster and fineness with a silky hand take her to the top. Her stunning fleece along with amazing bone substance, great personality and a beautiful suri style complete the package in this super stud female. Cocobolo comes from multi-generational champion suri genetics on both sides including FDA’s Picasso, Captain Morgan, MacGyver, Macgyverson's Peruvian Enrique, Young Accoyo Carmello, LCA Viho, Accoyo Baron Lafite, Ganador, Quintessence, FDA's Accoyo Carmelita and Baron’s Trinity. Her recently sold maternal sister, Big Timber’s Bois De Rose, is a two-time black Champion. Champions run deep in her prepotent bloodlines. Cocobolo has classic suri locks with spectacular luster, fineness and density in her lock structure. Her maternal genetics tested significantly above the mean, in the 50s for density, with S/P ratios of over 12 to 1 and S/P spreads of less than 8. Cocobolo’s micron uniformity fleece scores of 8.5 out of 10 confirm the genetic biopsy data. These genetic fiber traits along with her royal baby level fineness create a super silky hand that suri breeders strive for. Along with Cocobola’s silky, soft hand, her extreme luster is exceptional, earning luster scores of 18/20. In her shows as a juvenile, Cocobolo won First and Color Champion and Best Bred & Owned at the largest suri fleece show in the country, the 2017 Suri Network All Suri Fleece Show, first at the 2017 AOA National Fleece Show and second at the 2017 Futurity Halter Show as a six-month old in a very competitive class. Superb color genetics, classic suri phenotype and proven maternal production make up the complete package in this female. Cocobolo sells with a breeding to any of our herdsires.. We suggest pairing her with 11X Champion, AOA Supreme Champion and Judges Choice, Mida's Black Ice of Lunasea Farm. With Cocobolo’s deep black color genetics, this pairing should produce a stunning cria. Congratulations and a big thank you to Nancy Lindemood of 2 Point Farm for purchasing Cocobolo at the Amber Autumn Auction!!
