Fleece judge at MOPACA rewarded him a 1st place most notable score was a 19/20 for fineness on a 2 yr olds fleece! Wrangler's fleece is very grey now (2015) despite the brown tips. Looks close to medium silver but has enough brown in to still be in the rose grey classes. Wrangler is an amazing all around top knotch alpaca. His sire is JJA Royal Adonis who has many blue ribbon and color champ. offspring in just about every color. The dam is a msg/mrg Fire N'Ice daughter. The fleece is tight bundles of super softness with the density we have come to expect in Adonis offspring. Very straight and stocky and with presence galore. His staple length is amazing, just like Papa. Wrangler has the best of the Royal Fawn line males, 4Peruvian Black Magic, CPeruvian Silvio, Fire-N-Ice along with his fantastic Bay Black sire Royal Adonis and silver dam Hope. Since most of our darker females are closely related to Wrangler through his sire a 1/2 ownership would be nice since I want to retain the Fire N Ice retained fineness in the herd. In a very tough class this fall 2013, Wrangler took a 1st. His micron came in at 17.5 which is typically awesome of the dark Adonis offspring.

Greysie has a very shy and sweet personality. She loves to run with our cria. The staple length on this girl is phenominal. The crimp was a low frequency high amplitude style as a weanling but has now become my favorite type with the high frequency and high amp. Very shiny, ultra fine and her density is VERY nice! We will be keeping her around for some time to help add more grey to our herd. Adonis has made grey the majority of the time when bred to grey so he had the honor this year. She took on her first breeding! Should be a fantastic offspring! Her fleece, though never sent in for histogram, is estimated to be 16-17 micron max. Several hand spinners think so and her yarn is definitely they finest on the farm and a gorgeous color. Greysie had an Adonis offspring named Rugby. She is a great producer-birthed textbook worthy and has enough milk where he gained at least a pound a day in the beginning. He is the largest cria this year but not the oldest. He is a bay black Adonis look-a-like so very handsome. Her fleece character did not come in until her second year and then was really incredible just like her sire Revelation. Rugby's fleece seems to be super fine, has great length and shine but not a whole lot of character just yet. I'll bet he would show very well fall of 2015 though! We paired Greysie with our Royal Adonis son Wrangler who also shares a dense fine fleece but in the rose grey color. They had a very nice light fawn (like her dam)male named Wrangler's Armstrong. Check him out. Greysie was bred to Seismic and they made a gorgeously silver, dense, bundly grey male named Seismic's Seriously Silver. He will get his page shortly. Will probably repeat that breeding if I sell more girls. I already have his sire and several black and grey males so that smart thing to do is sell Greysie with male cria on the side. I just can't right now though. I really need to see this fleece! All or girls come with a breeding and we finance if needed. Greysie's boy from 2018 took 2nd at Nationals in a large class and continued to take 1st places at the other shows with one 2nd place. Greysie did not maintain her last pregnancies due to low progesterone. She is one a supplement of it now and is pregnant by Seismic again. I so want a female version of Seriously Silver a.k.a. Spot. Spot is such a calm sweet male who stepped into breeding this summer so next year we should have a few of his babies.

Description

Many breeders use a beige or light fawn male to breed to their grey dams in hopes of the neutral light color to allow the grey genetics to pop on through while adding fineness to the grey. Well I have just the guy for those breeders! Armstrong has grey parents that are incredibly fine as is he. This perfect;y conformed boy is a solid herdsire potential. Check out his sires ribbons and fleece stats. Dam Greysie, had an estimated 16 micron. His dam Revelation's Grey Expectations is a light silver grey and his sire is our medium rose grey Wrangler. Both parents are extremely fine and maintain that fineness as well as long staple length and nice crimp. The fawn is brought in by the maternal granddam. Armstrong is named after a boarder animal we had here years ago. No relation but they could be clones. Large bone, very square, mild temperament and lovely long staple. That staple has incredible shine, density and fineness resulting in some nice bundling. Armstrong has a nice calm personality with us humans and a very playful boy spirit with his fellow cria. He is the largest cria of the 5 we had this year but he is one of the youngest. This boy is sure to impart those 16-17 micron fleece and bring in some grey if bred to grey or I'm guessing black would tie in with those grey genes pretty well. This is not just a wonderful animal for fleece. He is stud material! His fleece style is changing this spring so he did not do well at his first show. I think his 2nd growth will be what draws more attention. The incredible staple will make excellent yarn in the meantime. He is for sale at a great price because we will continue to use his sire for a couple more years.
