Dr. Jeri Booher writes: The genes of Hemingway are very evident in Valedar, and he is very close to being the splitting image of his grandsire. He is one of the densest juveniles to ever be produced from TIMBERLAND ALPACAS, and at five years of age, retains a fleece micron count of 19. Valedar's crias are doing very well in the show ring, and exhibit that wonderful Hemiaccoyo™ fleece with locks dividing up into tiny bundles, lots of brightness, crimp and fineness. A Valedar daughter was recently the highest selling female at the Parade of Champions Auction at $80,000. Despite his white color, Valedar does possess the colored genetics to throw color in his progeny, especially when bred to a colored female. Valedar very proudly wears the designation as one of the main foundation herdsires for Timberland Alpacas.
VALEDAR WILL PERMANENTLY RESIDE IN INDIANA.

Timberland values Valedar's cria so highly, that the majority of his female cria have been integrated into their highly successful breeding program. In the 2007 Herdsire Edition (Page 153) of Alpacas Magazine, Timberland states: "Victor's Valedar has always imparted fineness to his offspring, and at eight years old, still boasts a 21-micron, high-frequency fleece. The female offspring out of Valedar make great foundation females because of their fineness, have the ability to produce a very high frequency crimp, even if bred to herd sires that show a wide variety of crimp styles. Timberland has rarely sold its Valedar females, and has retained most of them as its foundation stock." He is a premier son of Victor (deceased) and will be available for LIMITED (10) outside breedings.

Dam:

Full Alianza -- Mother of Champions

Snowmass Angel (Deceased)

HuacayaOpen (Female)White
DOB: 7/21/1998
Due to her age, we are holding Angel open for a season for her to regain some condition. She has delivered three cria for us, producing two outstanding daughters that we are retaining in our program. If you are interested in Angel, please give me a call to discuss. The price stated in no way reflects the quality of this female. We feel that she still has breeding potential, and would make a nice starter female for a new breeder. She will come with a free breeding to any unrestricted Clayfarm sire. Tom Jeff Watt writes: Snowmass Angel is a top quality production female of full Alianza lineage. She is consistent in her production of offspring that are finely fleeced and well conformed. Her mature male progeny are filling roles as herdsires on other farms. Angel's sire, Peruvian Olympus is well known and her grandsire, Peruvian Drambuie, is a highly respected Alianza macho. Drambuie was undefeated in the US show ring prior to his exportation to Australia. In Australia, Drambuie has sired over 300 show ribbon winning cria, including some Supremes. Angel's dam, Ppperuvian Snappy is known for producing offspring of outstanding quality. Notable sons of Snappy's include Aztec Avatar in Michigan (Benchmark Alpacas) and Snowmass Peruvian Powder in Indiana (Crossroads Alpaca Farm). Since joining our herd in 2004, Angel has delivered two female cria. We are retaining these daughters as part of our select group of production females: • 2004 - Seranade, a daughter of Captain Nemo (Auzengate son) • 2006 - Agassiz EAS Sonnet, a daughter of Victor's HemiAccoyo Americano • 2007 - Americano's Kyncayd, a son of Victor's HemiAccoyo Americano Since coming to Clayfarm Alpacas, Angel has delivered three cria: • 2008 - Clayfarm Americano's Kayleigh, a beige daughter of Victor's HemiAccoyo Americano • 2009 - Clayfarm Paragon's Gabriel 0901, a white son of Ferrari's HemiAccoyo Paragon • 2011 - Valedar's Aurora 1102, a white daughter of Victor's Valedar
