Now the Color Champion from the 2012 PAOBA Breeders Showcase, Baron just keeps getting better with age! The judge was thoroughly impressed with the combination of his fineness, density and consistency of crimp. Out of a gray dam, Baron is a rich mahogany brown with the kind of fiber you expect to see on a fawn (thank you, Chieftain!). Baron has been evaluated by five different judges and placed consistently in the top three in four different states. He was also part of our Breeders Best entry in Georgia that won the blue ribbon. With a combination of fineness, density, and beautifully consistent crimp, Baron is a guy who can earn a spot in someone's herdsire row. He has lots of color in his background, covering both black and gray. His sire Chieftain has maintained his fineness for four years with virtually the same histogram he had when he won his first banner. Baron is started out with a great 17 AFD, especially considering his dam is gray. Now, as a 24 month old, he's paying attention to the girls and still winning blue ribbons. His 2012 Spring show season saw him win three blues and a banner against tough competition in the South, PA and Ohio. Solid, solid fiber characteristics and conformation...at a grat price. Another in a long line of hits for both the dam and the sire. The team efforts of Captain Jack Sparrow and CCNF Golden Phoenicia has produced KCF Penelope Pitstop. Penelope has proven to be a wonderful dam! She has great maternal instincts, is an easy birther, and consistently produces strong, healthy cria. Penelope would be a great addition to any breeding program or a great female for those just starting their own herd. Penelope is currently bred to Blue Ridge Peruvian McCoy and due in October. This should be an absolute knockout cria! And what a knockout it is! Penelope has given birth to what we believe to be her best cria yet. A gorgeous fawn female we have named McCoy's Shiny Penny. Penny has dense, crimpy, bright fleece on a very solid, correct frame. She is a genetic powerhouse and holds great promise. We're very pleased with this pairing to say the least and plan to repeat the breeding. We were so pleased with this pairing that we have repeated this breeding and are expecting Penelope's next cria late April 2021!
