When we first purchased a half share in the PureSuri Herd with the Armstrongs, the objective was to marry the best performed suri genetics in the country up until that time from the famous Latah Creek herd with the proven genetics of Pucara International. Ice King represents the very best that we could have hoped to achieve. In his first show as a juvie, Ice King won the Light Male Championship at 2014 IAO. He followed that up with a Reserve Championship at the 2014 Futurity.
Is it any wonder when you look at this young full Peruvian fella’s fleece – luster upon luster, that’s only achieved when you have extreme fineness and density. The locking is flat and accentuated with the look of the advanced fleece style we are progressing with at Pucara International. His first fleece test in march was 17.3m 4.5sd 26.1cv
These accentuated fleece traits are a reflection of his royal genetics. Look at his pedigree, there’s not a single ancestor that hasn’t proven themselves as a champion producer – both male and female.
It’s a roll call of suri superstardom – Amador, Kahuna, Bruxo, Gracie, Ice Dancer, Silkworm, Mandalay, Inca, Amore, amongst others and of course including his dam and sire LCA Accoyo Aspenglow, and Pucara PureSuri Tikanui. Aspenglow was a multiple time champion herself and Tikanui was 2013 White Futurity Champion (as a shorn two year old) and now stands at stud at Hasselbrings Harmony Ranch. He had a meritorious show career.

Here is another stunning example of the cross between PureSuri and Pucara. PureSuri herd is the best example we can give of a superb breeding philosophy. The Armstrongs, formerly Latah Creek, dominated the suri show ring with, amongst others, their Inca line white suris and it was artistry in the making when we combined the lines of Latah Creek with those of Pucara Kahuna.
Lexus was at the top of the class in our 2013 drop. He has grown out with exceptional density combined with fineness and who we have used extensively since spending his 2015 breeding season in Colorado at Goldyn Rae Alpacas. The production there verified our hopes for him to produce to the excellence of his line!
He shows off a stunning head on a well conformed frame but its the fleece that spanks of his royal lineage. It is exactly what we breed for. High luster, in fact luster to burn! It is fine and dense and displays nice independence of locking with that buttery greasy handle that we love to see in our program. In March 2014 he tested at 18.6m 3.9sd 20.9cv
Sired by none other than the five times Futurity Light Herdsire of the Year Pucara Kahuna, his mother also comes from immaculate lineage. PureSuri Lexus is a daughter of one of the densest males we have ever seen, LCA Viho (Inca son) and her dam is a Snowmass Ice Dancer daughter that is infused with the superior genetics of Uribe and Ganador.
We have been stoked with the production from Lexus. We were offering him for sale but we don't think so any more! The cria have had blazing luster with density that is so hard to achieve. He has taken a very important place in our ET program. We are of course selling breedings. He will compliment your suri program with all the suri fleece traits that we admire.

Alika is ablaze with luster. Why? She is extremely dense, and very fine. The fineness is uniform through out. Those follicles will be tightly packed and push out a fleece greasy with density! All on a frame blessed with girth and stylish conformation.
The genetics have been manipulated to accentuate the desired traits. Her pedigree
has the best from Pucara, PureSuri (formerly Latah Creek) and Humming Hill (The Fisco's).

After her first cria (TSSS Tully's Finnegan) was born in 2017, we flushed an embryo, resulting in a female sired by Pucara PureSuri Lexus. She is TSSS Alika's Bronte ET. Then we bred her for a normal pregnancy and she gave birth in September to a male. All three are gorgeous! In the same year. Fancy that!
