32653328<--ari-->Dark Silver Grey<--color-->Rosie was purchased at one week old looking like she would be rose-grey tuxedo however, she color-checked dark silver grey. She is a large boned gray - that in itself is uncommon. Rosie is confident, friendly, and always attracts attention from her beautiful markings and silky silver color blending to rose-grey down her legs. She won a Blue Ribbon over serious competition as a juvenile with remarks from Judge Wade Gease on her luster, fineness and density. Her second show she earned Reserve Color Champion from the previously shorn suri full fleece class, with comments from Judge Kathy Klay on how close the decision was between Rosie and the never shorn younger girl that won Color Champion. At the 2009 AOBA Nationals Rosie was again competing as a previously shorn suri against never shorn, the timing of the Nationals that year put Rosie just over a year since being shorn. She earned a Second Place with her seven (7) inches of regrowth from having been slick shorn in May 2008! While visiting our pen at the 2009 Nationals well known Suri breeder Jack Donaldson volunteered a very positive opinion on Rosie, noting that her fleece was very fine, and she has a strong frame and stature not typically found in greys. His parting comment was "if she were mine she would be the last one I would sell." Rosie was bred to Semejanzo's Radar of SBFS and gave us a gorgeous rose grey male in 2010. Tragically we lost her son at six weeks old to a bad encounter with a nest of wasps. Rosie was rebred to Radar in hopes of reproducing a cria with similar luster, fineness, color and structure as the beautiful 2010 boy. We took a risk repeating this breeding as both Rosie and Radar genetically are "white-spot" grays. The result was Tealwater's Elizabeth, another strong boned, well-balanced female with luster, density and a striking pattern that stands out in the herd, like her beautiful mother.
