We are retiring from the alpaca business so we can travel during the winters to where it is a bit warmer, so I have reduced Copper's price so he can go to a farm where he can be loved by lots of girls! He would appreciate not having to share with his 1/2 brother Bomber, Avatar or Toby! ;) Copper is a handsome male and he is putting out lovely greys, he just needs some dates with some pretty girls.... I am tickled 'pink' with this guy. I have been waiting for a beautiful light rose grey and this guy is fantastic in every way....simply eye catching! He has wonderful conformation, his presence is outstanding and his fiber is beautiful! It is a stunning, super soft, rose grey with gorgeous crimp that looks pink. Copper placed 2nd to Deacon Grey at the Mid America Alpaca Show in a field of 13 grey yearling males. Now that's tough competition. He went on to receive the RESERVE COLOR CHAMPION behind Deacon, who recently sold for a whopping $90K. The competition was tough at the A-OK Blast Off in Oklahama as well. There were some heavy hitters in the ring with Copper, including MOPACA 2007 Color Champion and Reserve Color Champion, but judge Shannon McConnell had no problem finding his 1st Place Male. Copper went on to receive the COLOR CHAMPION RIBBON. Judge McConnell referred to Copper's fleece as "cool to the touch". You have to feel it to believe it! Please call or write us for fiber samples and lots of photos. Copper has been micro-chipped and is BVDV negative.

Dam: [REF] Millie D'Lite AOA

Breeding for gray and black

[REF] Millie D'Lite AOA

HuacayaOpen (Female)True Black
AOA# 845360DOB: 10/15/200321 yrs
Millie is a hands off easy (no issues, ever) care, excellent dam, and producer of color! This is not surprising, since her lineage has a solid base of Bolivian and Chilean color. She is really protective of her crias, but that is easy to work around with judicious bracketing of animals in different pens, so we don't have any headaches with that. She has built a trust level with us that makes things move along fine. Since her arrival on our farm, Millie has produced for us a silver girl from a silver sire, a black girl from a rose grey sire, a fawn boy from a fawn sire, a black girl from a silver sire, and a beige girl from a white sire. With 80% girls, we are pleased! This is in addition to what she had produced for her previous farm, so Millie has been truly an excellent production dam. All of our Millie crias have had great fiber, coverage, and strong frames. Two of her girls have been bred on our farm and both have produced their own awesome crias! Millie has solidified her place in a black and grey breeding program. * One daughter, Silver, showed well for us and her first cria, a Rincon Cloud girl, sold as a weanling! We have bred Silver to grey and produced two grey offspring, showing that those grey and black genetics are holding strong. Silver is currently bred to our multiple halter and fleece champion black herdsire, AutumnSun's Black Maelstrom. * Another daughter, Maggie, produced a lovely black girl and then a studly black male that was sold with her, as she makes her own black and grey crias for other farms. * Her black girl, Sable, is sired by our dark silver grey herdsire, Grand River Marquis. She is cute as button, sassy, and ready to breed. We are looking forward to her pairing to grey or black for excellent continuation of these color genetics. * In her last breeding, we bred Millie to our white herdsire Orionn and produced a beige girl, Freya. This female may not have the black coloration we were hoping for, but is a strong, well grown girl that has a future as a foundation dam. Millie is a proven dam that effortlessly produces nice crias, takes good care of them, and is always in good health -- essential qualities in your dams! Every year we think we are going to let Millie retire and there is that 'just one more breeding'.

Silver Peruvian Master Piece

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)White, Medium Silver Grey
AOA# 1225358DOB: 6/30/200519 yrs
We will include AutumnSun's Anvil with the purchase of Silver Peruvian Master Piece. Anvil just took a second place ribbon at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and has great black and grey genetics. It is with great pleasure that we introduce Silver Peruvian Master Piece into our herd. It was to our surprise and fortune that we were able to acquire this spectacular male with an impressive ancestry. He is a son of the acclaimed Peruvian Silvio from Magical Farms, Inc., a renowned grey herdsire. He also has Peruvian Silvino on his dam's side. Silver pulls all that superior grey lineage together to form an incredible package. His farm, ALPACAS of Tualatin Valley, LLC praised Silver by saying: "Silver Peruvian Master Piece is a stunning gray male! He's got it all; a fleece that is fine with good density and excellent coverage, a beautiful head, correct conformation and a compact body style with heavy bone... This gentle male exemplifies everything we desire in a superior herdsire... Most importantly, Master Piece is displaying his strong ability to pass on his sought after genetic material in the offspring he is producing...." Silver is a friendly boy who, even at the age of 11-years-old carries his elite fineness and density. He gets the job done and one breeding is usually all it takes with him. He has a consistent track record of throwing black or grey crias at a rate of 75% and we look forward to seeing what he can produce for us. Let's see what he can do for you, too!

Description

Maggie and her little male cria were a fortunate addition to our herd. Maggie is sired by the multiple champion Magic's Copperfield -- son of multiple champion Blues Magic and the remarkable Almost Paradise Farms Beatriz -- who is also the dam of several other multiple champion alpacas, including the incomparable Bea-2 Bomber. Maggie also bears grey lineage from her maternal side in her grandsire Legacy de Bolivia, who was one of the cornerstone studs of the grey breeding history that were brought into the U.S. specifically to develop grey color here. These are impressive genetics and Maggie shows them off well. She has a medium amplitude crimp with high frequency, a long staple, great shine and handle, and good density. Though she has some conformational issues including her teeth and a short stature, she is such a magnificent producer that we plan on keeping her in our breeding program. Her latest cria out of Autumn Sun's Apache Longbow is a stunning black male. His black fleece glistens with spectalular bundle formations. He has a perfect head and conformation and we are so excited to trot him around the show ring. Maggie just had a lovely true black female cria out of our Silver Peruvian Master Piece in December 2016. We have repeated this breeding for next winter. All open females come with a free breeding and a re-breeding to any of our herdsires. All bred females also come with a free re-breeding.
