DON DIEGO IS CONSIGNED TO THE AMAZING GREYS ALPACA AUCTION BEING HELD APRIL 29, 2017. REGISTER TO BID AT www.AmazingGreysAlpacas.com INCREDIBLE DENSITY AND LASTING FINENESS IN THIS BOY His fiber results at just shy of 9 years old are amazing! 2015 Histogram - AFD 20.5; SD 4.4; CV 21.2; %>30 3.3; CF 96.3; still this fineness at 9 years of age for grey is amazing! His biopsy follicle test (via Ian Watt) is even more impressive! Density - 62.8/mm with a Secondary:Primary fiber ratio of 13.1:1. Only 3 grey alpacas have ever tested higher in density and no grey alpacas have a higher S:P ratio (in fact, only 7 alpacas in ANY color have a higher S:P ratio - including white!). You'll have trouble finding a grey to put up a combination of those kinds of numbers anywhere! And Diego’s lineage is impressive, too - PPeruvian Pluro, Danko, grandsire Crescent Moon’s Rayo Del Sol (6x Grand Color Champ) and Sire Emerald Farms Rincon Cloud, 2005 AOBA Silver Nat’l Grand Champion, are enough reason to want him in your breeding program! And if that wasn't enough, check out his EPDs! Diego has many cria on the ground & every one of them is lovely. He is clearly passing on his amazing fineness to his cria. 2014 Cria Histograms -- Avenger – 15.23 AFD -- Baratheon – 15.3 AFD -- Ophelia – 15.6 AFD -- Antoinette – 17.98 AFD -- Lazarus – 18.4 AFD LASTING FINENESS RUNS IN HIS BLOOD: Previous Cria Histograms -- Jacob at age 2 - 16.7 AFD -- Joshua at age 3 - 16.4 AFD -- Levi at age 2 - 20.1 AFD Relatives' Histograms -- Diamond (Mom) at age 12 - 23.00 AFD -- Black Pearle (Maternal Sister) at age 5 - 17.52 AFD -- Angel (Maternal Sister) at age 7 - 21.89 AFD Diego’s string of blues began in ’07 with a rave review from Judge Wade Gease: “This young man had a presence as soon as he entered the ring…his feet glided across the grass, his toes pointed straight ahead…he’s consistent throughout…good density and wonderful fineness…beautiful conformation”. That was just the beginning followed by Wade praising him again at AlpacaMania for his “exceptional conformation, extreme fineness, beautiful crimp and consistent fiber character”. He continued to stock pile blues and more at every show and fiber exhibition he went to until he began breeding. Diego has a sweet personality, isn’t skittish and comes right to us or visitors. His fiber is exceptional and buttery fine, his micron stats have always been great for a light animal let alone his coloring! They rank right alongside with some of the best in the nation! His fineness, luster, excellent dense coverage, beautiful typey head and strong bone structure will add great qualities to any herd. Diego is now proudly co-owned with Patagonia Estates.

Outlaw's White Ruby of LDD

HuacayaOpen (Female)Beige
AOA# 31476133DOB: 3/7/201212 yrs
White Ruby is a lovely female with a bright, off-white fleece. She's conformationally sound, with straight legs and back, and a good head. She's very dense with good fineness and produces a ton of fleece! She's out of legendary grey Get-of-Sire winner, Benchmark's SilverCoyo Outlaw, and our own Cashmina. On October 11, 2015 White Ruby had a beautiful bay black girl from our superb modern grey champ, Diego! White Ruby is an excellent mom with lots of milk. In October 2017, White Ruby had a fantastic light fawn/potential harlequin male sired by champ harlequin appy stud, Billabong! This cria looks like he's going to be a winner!

Crescent Moon's Wilkinson

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Silver Grey
AOA# 32670981DOB: 4/5/201311 yrs
Epic Alpacas is pleased to announce the addition of Crescent Moon's Wilkinson to our outstanding lineup of herdsires! Wilkinson is a 10-time Champion and more notably, he's the back-to-back National Color Champion, taking the highest grey male honors at AOA in both 2015 and 2016! Most recently, as a 3.5 year old, he took the Color Championship at the 2016 Alpaca Breeders Invitational in a very competitive group of greys, proving that even after having cria on the ground, he's still got it! It's no wonder that Wilkinson is such an impressive male. His sire, Accoyo America Jason, is a legend in his own time, winning AOBA Nationals Color Champion in brown three years running. It is rare to find such exquisite crimp, character and density of fleece as Jason. Even better, Jason has consistently reproduced those characteristics in his crias, at such a high level that even his white offspring are consistently ribboning in the competitive white classes, and many of his progeny are champions! Wilkinson's dam, Crescent Moon's Forget Me Not, is also a Color Champion in her own right, winning 10 blue ribbons and 4 banners, including 2010 Futurity Grey Female Reserve Color Champion and 2014 CABA Classic 1st Place Produce of Dam. Wilkinson's cria have started arriving here at Epic and we are THRILLED! So much density, so much character, so much grey! His eldest male offspring, Crescent Moon's Subasio, has started making his impact on the show circuit in Fall 2017 with a number of blues and a Reserve Championship at an amazingly competitive double show in Oregon.
Enormous thanks to Scott and Debbie Miller of Crescent Moon for sharing this incredible male with us - we are honored and delighted to be partners with them! Wilkinson is going to make one heck of an impact here and on the future of grey huacaya breeding!

Description

Wrenny's fiber is soft, dense and so rich in color! She's a well built female with straight, strong legs and broad hips/shoulders. Not only does she have great fiber, she's also the most pleasant female to work with - and she has such fun character and spirit! Her dam is out of legendary silver grey Get of Sire winner, SilverCoyo Outlaw and her sire is our champ modern silver grey herdsire, Don Diego! Wrenny brings some serious grey genetics to the table, and she has a great disposition to boot! Wrenny would make a great addition to any grey breeding program. We are thrilled with the silver tux grey girl produced by Wrenny with 2X National Champion Wilkinson in early 2019! The combination of these two resulted in an exception cria and we look forward to watching her grow up!
