Jeremiah is beautiful. He has the look of his sire 2005 AOBA Silver National Grand Color Champion Emerald Farms Rincon Cloud. Plus he has the fineness of his dam with a micron of 19.6, CF 96% these are outstanding numbers for a silver. His fiber characteristics are predictable for Rincon cria, dense, zipper crimp and gorgeous handle. He has that perfect wedge shaped head that Rincon is so famous for passing to his cria with wonderful conformation and presence in and out of the ring. Jeremiah is one of the sweetest animals we have on the ranch and completely willing to allow us to work with him for any health maintenance. He's personable and yet has that macho attitude. Just look at the way he holds his head and the herdsire look he projects. He is easy to handle in breeding, gentle with the girls and is doing a great job. Unfortunately 2 weeks before show season Jeremiah chose to roll in a patch of moss...ICK!! Even with fiber covered with moss he took 3rd in a class of 14 behind a boy who had just taken color champion at AOBA Nationals. He also took a 4th in a large competitive class at CABA in Portland, OR. Both judges commented on his handle and consistency "beneath" the moss. He has been shorn and fiber will be sent soon for stats. Jeremiah is the full package with the sought after classic silver look, conformation to match his sire, breathtaking command and presence and the cherry on the parfait to complete it all is his fiber. You get all this plus the bloodline of PPeruvian Pluro, Danko, grandsire Crescent Moon's Rayo Del Sol (6x Grand Color Champ) and Sire Emerald Farms Rincon Cloud 2005 AOBA Silver Nat'l Grand Champion to add to your ranch breeding program!

Cafe Dulce

HuacayaOpen (Female)True Black
AOA# 31808118DOB: 10/5/200915 yrs
Dulce is one of our best producing females. She's true black, an easy keeper, and a good mom with plenty of milk. Dulce's first cria was an absolutely stunning dark silver grey girl in May 2012. On May 12, 2014 Dulce had an absolutely stunning grey boy, Diamante, sired by Chief Grey Feather (ARI #31825610), who is described as having “ideal fineness, silky hand, uniform throughout, high frequency, well defined crimp, virtually no guard hair, and a plethora of grey and black genetics.” Diamante was born big, strong, and was up and running in no time, with gorgeous fleece! He ended up taking a blue ribbon at his first show! On October 1, 2015, Dulce did it again! She had her third tux grey, this time out of our silver grey male, Jeremiah, a Rincon Cloud boy who is now standing stud at another farm. Dulce's newest cria is named Dulcinea del Toboso, from one our favorite literary masterpieces, Miguel de Cervantes' novel Don Quixote. On September 21, 2016, Dulce had a bay black boy with superb fleece from Snowmass Enlightenment!

Service Sire: Crescent Moon's Wilkinson

10x Grey Champ, 2x National ColorChamp!

Crescent Moon's Wilkinson

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Silver Grey
AOA# 32670981DOB: 4/5/201311 yrs
Epic Alpacas is pleased to announce the addition of Crescent Moon's Wilkinson to our outstanding lineup of herdsires! Wilkinson is a 10-time Champion and more notably, he's the back-to-back National Color Champion, taking the highest grey male honors at AOA in both 2015 and 2016! Most recently, as a 3.5 year old, he took the Color Championship at the 2016 Alpaca Breeders Invitational in a very competitive group of greys, proving that even after having cria on the ground, he's still got it! It's no wonder that Wilkinson is such an impressive male. His sire, Accoyo America Jason, is a legend in his own time, winning AOBA Nationals Color Champion in brown three years running. It is rare to find such exquisite crimp, character and density of fleece as Jason. Even better, Jason has consistently reproduced those characteristics in his crias, at such a high level that even his white offspring are consistently ribboning in the competitive white classes, and many of his progeny are champions! Wilkinson's dam, Crescent Moon's Forget Me Not, is also a Color Champion in her own right, winning 10 blue ribbons and 4 banners, including 2010 Futurity Grey Female Reserve Color Champion and 2014 CABA Classic 1st Place Produce of Dam. Wilkinson's cria have started arriving here at Epic and we are THRILLED! So much density, so much character, so much grey! His eldest male offspring, Crescent Moon's Subasio, has started making his impact on the show circuit in Fall 2017 with a number of blues and a Reserve Championship at an amazingly competitive double show in Oregon.
Enormous thanks to Scott and Debbie Miller of Crescent Moon for sharing this incredible male with us - we are honored and delighted to be partners with them! Wilkinson is going to make one heck of an impact here and on the future of grey huacaya breeding!
