"VELVY" is a Medium Silver Gray multiple Blue Ribbon Winner having taken 1st Place Fleece at 2002 MAPACA and 1st Place Halter at 2002 Magical Farms Futurity.
Her sire, CPeruvian SILVINO, is considered light rose grey according to the official ARI color charts, however, he is a unique Peruvian male in North America in that his fleece is actually pink! He is both dense and crimpy with excellent conformation.
VELVETEEN is aptly named. Her fleece is extremely fine and exhibits wonderful brightness and character. She is very uniform in color with excellent density and exhibits a nice soft handle.
"VELVY" is a proven female and excellent mother with six EXCEPTIONAL offspring to date and is due with her 7th cria Sept. 2010. She is an easy birther, has an abundant supply of milk, and passes all her wonderful qualities on to her crias...including her lovely medium silver grey color! She has been bred to a Medium Rose Grey, a Dark Silver Grey, twice to a Light Fawn, a Medium Fawn, and twice to a True Black. 4 out of her 6 cria have been that lovely MSG grey, with the exception of her last 2 births, which have been true black, and all have done very well at Level 5 shows across the country. Several have won Championships and all have ribboned within the top 3 slots in their individual classes.
Velveteen has been bred to some of the most well-known and best herdsires available, including Silvio (MSG), Danko (MRG), twice to Lancaster (LF), Black Mesquite (TB), Formula 1 (MF) a JERICHO son, and Gypsy Chip (TB) out of west coast herdsire Chito Jose (DF).
