GLR Kolaqua is a stunning dark silver grey 4P Condor grandson out of the only Condor daughter Brad and Jandy have ever kept on their ranch. His mother GLR Amelita, is a grey appaloosa who was the 2004 AAA Futurity Grey Female Color Champion. Kolaqua was the 2008 Grey Male Color Champion at both Mapaca and AOBA Nationals in Sandy Utah and won the 2009 AOBA Grey Male Color Championship in Cleveland. He is dense and greasy to the touch, has great luster, bone, a beautiful head and the mellow temperament of his papa, Synergy. His shear weight was an impressive 11.8 pounds! Kolaqua has two full siblings who are both multiple grey color champions as well: GLR Coyhaique, 2007 Mapaca Male Grey Color Champion, and 2007 AOBA Nationals Reserve Grey Color Champion, and GLR Atacama, 2009 AAA Futurity and MAPACA Grey Female Color Champion, and 2009 AOBA Nationals Grey Female Color Champion. Kolaqua started breeding in 2009 and and now has many seasons of offspring on the ground with plenty of blue ribbon and championship banner winners to his name. Two of his 2012 kids were GLR Rockoro, and GLR Tashina, who traveled with us in 2013 as members of our show string. Rockoro was the 2013 Reserve Grey Male Color Champion at both MAPACA and the AAA Futurity and the AOBA Nationals Grey Male Color Champion as a juvenile. GLR Tashina as a juvenile was the 2013 Reserve Grey Female Champion at both Mapaca and the AAA Futurity, and in 2014 was the AOA Nationals' and the AAA Futurity Grey Female Color Champion, and the first alpaca to win a Grey Judges Choice award ever. His 2013 cria, GLR Taj, was the last to be born in November that year and too young to show .He may very well be the best grey cria we have ever produced. He was born with wrinkles all the way down his neck and back and his luster is remarkable. His micron test came back at a little over two years old as a 19.3. We are very pleased with how he and all of his siblings have matured. Kolaqua keeps producing awesome cria both grey and colored with excellent fiber and beautiful conformation. He is certainly a ranch favorite with his mellow disposition too!

Dam: GLR Tashi

GLR Tashi

SuriOpen (Female)Beige
AOA# 32138757DOB: 9/10/201014 yrs
GLR Tashi is the very first granddaughter of Shavano. Her mother, GLR Tica was the first female he ever sired. GLR Tica is a dark brown incredibly dense and lustrous Shavano daughter, one of the first Shavano kids that we have ever shown. Her mother, Tambora of Peru was one of our favorite dams who we sold at our Great Lakes Classic II sale in 2009. We purposely kept Tambora's daughter Tica, as we were not willing to let go of her mama's genetics due to her track record. When we bought Tambora, it was because of her extreme density and high luster, and Tica has inherited both those traits and more from her papa. Shavano is extremely dense and lustrous as well. Tica was shown in 2009 as a juvenile and was Reserve Brown Female Color Champion at both the AAA Futurity and Mapaca, and she won her class at AOBA Nationals. In 2010, Tica was Reserve Brown Female Champion at the AAA Futurity and Brown Female Color Champion at the 2010 GWAS in Denver and won the prestigious Judges Choice there as well. She was Brown Female Color Champion at AOBA Nationals in Ft. Wayne. GLR Tashi's sire is Young Felipe, our 5 time Color Champion White Rockstar son. When Tashi was born she had wrinkles all the way down her neck in ropes. She has a dense, lustrous fleece that is greasy with coverage from head to toe and a beautiful little wedge shaped head. In addition to being dense and greasy, Tashi's fleece is fine with a micron count of 17.6. She was 4th at the 2012 MAPACA show, the largest suri show in the country so far with 292 suris, and 5th at the AAA Futurity in Grand Island. She was bred to GLR Kolaqua our 2 time AOBA and the Mapaca Grey Color Champion and gave birth to an adorable little girl, GLR Tashina who made waves in the show ring in 2013 and 2014 including the first ever grey Judges Choice ever awarded.Tashi's 2013 male cria Taj was born so late that we were unable to show him in 2014. He is a clone of his dad Kolaqua and very much like his sister Tashina. His micron test came back at two years of age with a 19.3. Tashi was bred to CInders and had a fawn female GLR Tasha who will be traveling with us on the show circuit in 2017. Tashi is bred back to Kolaqua and expecting in late fall of 2016.Her son Taj has earned a solid spot in our stud row for service this year. We can't wait to see what he produces!
