PATAGONIA'S ERNESTO: Patagonia’s Ernesto is a magnificent light brown compact herdsire that improves every dam to her fullest potential. Before I purchased Ernesto, I bred numerous females to this dynamic male just to see what he could do. I discovered that I could take an average dam, breed her to Ernesto, and voila, he would produce a stunning offspring. This feat was proven when we had hundreds of the females assessed with their juvenile crias. Time and time again, the cria scored better than the dam so I knew I had something special going on with this male and one way to obtain improvement in the production of our breeding program. In many ways, Patagonia’s Ernesto has surpassed his one of a kind sire, Patagonia’s Lennox, and what Lennox has been able to achieve in his life-time. Ernesto’s dam, R&RR Irishea, is a light fawn from Ruth and Rodney Elvestad’s Canadian breeding program whose goal was to have lasting fine fleece, yet have the fleece to be the ultimate in density as well. Ruth operates Olds College in Canada working with fiber. Irishea is out of one of my very favorite males, CAVA Guivar Zorro, a true black import. He has many good breeding years left and would love to have the opportunity to prove it! Ernesto’s Show Record shows for itself: JUDGE'S CHOICE, 7x CHAMPION & 5x GET OF SIRE RIBBONS Ernesto's first crias hit the show ring in 2012 and continue to perform! Description

Odin is apply named, he is well grown, a well balanced frame, full coverage fleece with a perfect head. We appreciate his fineness, density, uniformity of micron, crimp, and color. Odin is exhibiting the characteristics for a future Herdsire. Odin is certainly in the top three of our 2014 males, and number one for his color, with a combination of the best characteristics for a male. We are pleased to have him on our show string for 2015, and we have decided to offer him for sale for other ranchers looking for Patagonia genetics. Odin is sired by the Multi-Champion Patagonia's Ernesto. Ernesto passes a true to type frame, typey head, full coverage fleece, and staple. Of course the fineness and uniformity put Ernesto as a Champion male, and we believe Odin has it as well. Odins genetics are packed with Patagonia's finest including, Lennox, Danko, Nishio, El Padre, and El Mito. The potential for greatness is evident. We recently had Odin's fiber graded by professional sorters from NAWC, they mooned over Odin's blanket placing him in the top of grade 2, and commented about his uniformity, staple, fineness, and color uniformity. The professional sorters of NAWC stated that our herd is in the top 20% of all positive traits for alpaca fiber, comparing to other alpaca herds across the USA, and their expertise in sorting fibers of other livestock! Fantastic genetic offering at an extremely competitive price for your chance to add these genetics upgrading your herd. Congratulations Chase Theuret on your purchase of Odin!
