QR Grand Slam's Fenway

HuacayaOpen (Female)Light Fawn
AOA# 32509953DOB: 4/21/201212 yrs
We cannot say enough about QR Grand Slam’s Fenway. Before she was born, we had wished for a female Grand Slam. What we got was a carbon copy of her 5 time Reserve Champion father. “Exactly what we had wished for.” Her genetics are flawless. Her grandsire is AML El Duro's Principio and her grand dam is a lovely light fawn Jericho daughter. Fenway’s dam is a Multiple Blue ribbon winner herself and showed in many of the largest shows in the northeast and always took the top ribbons in the Black female classes. Fenway is extremely dense and fine with a silky handle which carries zipper crimp right to the tips. She is a "no nonsense" female who breeds easily, carries her pregnancy without problems, delivers flawlessly and raises her crias efficiently. Bred to Annual's Bea 2 Bomber, Fenway produced a lovely rose gray female cria born March 15th, 2015. Bomber's Vixen showed at the Showtacular in Syracuse, NY, and placed 3rd and then 2nd in the rose gray juvenile classes. The following year, Fenway was bred to the renowned Majestic Meadows Jumanji and delivered white male cria who has developed into a strong boned compact youngster with extremely dense, crimpy fiber. Fenway's 2018 cria by West Penn's Supreme Justice, Is a stunning medium fawn female who will begin her show career this spring. Jabberwocky and Uptown Girl are listed for sale on their own pages. Fenway has been bred to Xanadu P. Alchemist for a Fall 2019 cria. Alchemist is a 10X Champion and Judges Choice winner.

Description

Born on a 9 degree March afternoon, this little girl proved to be a fighter from the beginning . We warmed her in the bath tub and hoed that her maiden mother would take her back. After a few nervous minutes, and with help from her humans, mom accepted the little bundle in the turquoise cria coat. Vixen appeared to be brown with a white face but little by little we watched her turn into a lovely medium rose gray bundle of energy. She boasts great bone, dense and very crimpy fleece, a classical head on a strong, square frame. Vixen's heritage includes multi-champion Bea-2 Bomber, son of the renowned Aussie .38 Special and Almost Paradise Farm's Beatriz. On her dam's side we have El Duro's Principio, MFI Jericho, and Miss Clarice, dam and grand-dam of champions. Vixen attended her first show this weekend and, at 7 months, place 3rd at Empire and 2nd at NEAOBA. We expect her to grow into a first-class production female and a great addition to any gray program. She sells with a breeding to any of the unrestricted Quarry Ridge herdsires.
