Peruvian Macgyver ID# 181450 is a stunning maroon colored herd sire of the Accoyo Bruxo line. This full Peruvian Suri has produced more Champion alpacas than any other alpaca herd sire in the world. He is truly amazing!!!! At the 2003 AAA Futurity Macgyver ‘s offspring placed in 20 classes making him the 2003 “ Herd Sire of The Year”. In 2004 his offspring placed in even more classes than the previous year. He again became the” Herd Sire Of The Year” for the 2nd time. In 2005 he did it again and made history. No other alpaca male has ever won “Herd Sire Of The Year” 3 times . In 2006, guess what? Again Macgyver was the clear winner making him “Herd Sire Of The Year” 4 times. In 2007,2008 and 2009 we are in awe! For the 5th,6th and 7th time, Macgyver, won “Herd Sire Of The Year”. He has 100% Suri offspring and has never produced a Huacaya.

This boy got the best his champion parents can offer - beautiful confirmation with a spectacular head and high luster extremely soft fleece. In fact his fleece has such an amazingly soft handle it's hard to stop touching it! Top that off with a friendly personality and a pedigree full of stars and you've got a fantastic herdsire prospect. His mother is one of our all-time favorite alpacas who's juvi fleece was an astounding 16 microns. Matched with Enrique who's first two fleeces came in at 19 microns, she's produced 2 solid fawn, super fine boys in a row. 2014 - Kokatahee's first cria, Dakini Echo in the Bone, is outstanding. We couldn't be more thrilled with this result. 2015 - Unfortunately the dams chosen for the 2015 production were killed in a dog attack on the farm and their crias died with them. 2016 - Congratulations to Big Timber Alpacas on their new Kokatahee girl Cocobolo. She looks a lot like her dad when he was born. Cocobolo now in the breeding program at 2 Point Farm in Kentucky. 2017 - Beautiful girl out of Kahuna's Lexus 2019 SHIP Classification Fleece: Fineness & Uniformity of Color: 5 out of 5 Uniformity of Micron and Fleece Phenotype: 4 out of 5 Density, Lock Structure, Handle: 3.5 out of 5 Luster: 3 out of 5 Conformation: Type, Hind Legs, Head, Frame, Tail, Genitalia: 5 out of 5 Movement/Tracking: 4 out of 5 Front Legs: 3 out of 5

Description

Sadly Sonora along with her unborn cria was killed in a July 2015 dog attack on our farm. Many of her off-spring are successfully working in our herd but we miss her terribly. We are leaving her listing on our page as a reference dam for many of our foundation animals. Sonora was selected to join our foundation herd because of her elite fleece and stong production record. She's a powerhouse genetic package and undoubtedly one of the highest quality fawn suris in the U.S. Her show record speaks for itself with championships in the largest shows in the country. In addition to exceptional fleece, conformation, and solid production, Sonora has another trait that is extremely important at Dakini - a sweet, easy going personality. Who knew she was also a clown that would keep us constantly entertained with her antics! Her first two cria, 2007's Golden Nugget and 2008's Bend it Like Mecklem, both by Apache, exhibit the same stunning fleece and sweet, confident personality that makes Sonora a joy to work with. Her 2009 female cria "E.T" is a med fawn stunner who did very well in the show-ring. In 2010, Sonora delivered a high luster white & fawn multi male by Blazen Saddle JAX who exhibits al of the outstanding phenotypic character of Sonora in white. Mecklem produced a beautiful true black female, Dakini Chindi, who is now one of our foundation girls. Sonora's 2011 cria Dakini Aventyr is a gorgeous male with amazing coverage and luster, by PCAF Accoyo Kaden, an outstanding full Accoyo beige Kalvin son. Aventyr is working in our herd now with great results. Sonora delivered a bounder of a boy by Wyuna on July 20, 2014 exactly on her due date. Channeling his grandsire, Dakini Fiery Cross sports a dense and lustrous fleece in a beautiful light brown. Now proudly co-owned with Wings & a Prayer Alpacas, he had a very successful show season in 2015. Following in his mother's footsteps he won a 1st place at Alpacapalooza, 2nd at Futurity, 1st and Reserve at GWAS and 1st and Champion at CABA. We can't wait to get this boy working in our herd! Sonora is due in July 2015 with a cria by our own Dakini Kokatahee, sire of Dakini Echo in the Bone who is easily one of the best crib we've ever produced. Kokatahee's 2015 fleece weighed 8.2 pounds and is exceptional in fineness, luster and uniformity. We are anxiously awaiting the birth of this new edition in Sonora's line.
