Benjamin's face has graced more selfie's and social media posts than any other alpaca we have ever owned. Why?... because he is the ranch greeter extraordinaire!! He greets everyone at the fence and freely gives nuzzles/kisses. And then in the spring of 2016 we introduced this gentleman to "ladies" and it's been his focus to get the job done ever since! His first 6 cria are due starting in May of 2017. Besides having a winning disposition, we chose him to be our new stud for a variety of reasons: 1) He has dense, soft, medium fawn fiber with a 4" long staple length. We sheared 4 1/2 lbs. of blanket fiber. Check out this histogram and current fiber stats... 2) His show record is impressive in halter and fleece classes. Check out his awards... 3 He comes from 2 white parents that both had retained fineness & dense fiber that we looked for in a breeding pair. 4) He has a perfect bite and a wonderfully conformed square frame with substance of bone and a wide chest... 5) He turns on the charm, yet knows how to get the job done and boy does he have stamina!... Of all the alpacas in our herd, Benjamin is the one that I will miss the most as he grows up. He has a very special place in my heart!! That is why I have decided to share ownership with another breeder. Benjamin has been purchased by Still Waters Alpaca Ranch and is ready to breed your dams. Introductory breeding fee of 50% off ($750) for the first dam and $500 for each additional dam until Oct 2017. At that time is fee will return to the regular price of $1,500. Contact me for details on this breeding arrangement.

Description

Samantha is a ranch favorite. She is friendly, curious about her surroundings and other alpacas. Throughout the day I can put my hands in her super soft light brown fiber and whether she is pregnant or open she just loves people! She has a whisk of white fibers under her chin and a white ankle bracelet on her right front foot. Samantha is a "Super Mom" without explanation! Her first cria lived only a few hours and then she immediately became a surrogate for one that was born a few hours later. That lucky girl, Silver Star, nursed from 2 moms when ever she wished. So when her 2nd cria, Onstar, was born, we weren't surprised that she doted on him too. Onstar has the same disposition as Samantha and has become a "therapy" alpaca. In Samantha's early years she went to 3 shows. She won best Bred & Owned Yearling twice. As a Juvenile she won 4th at the Southwest Regional show in the light brown class out of 8 entries. Samantha eagerly bred to Benjamin, however, as the summer heat increased, we stopped our breeding and suspect that she is not pregnant. Since we can't guarantee a pregnancy, her price has been reduced significantly and she sells as an open female ready to breed in the spring.
