Full Peruvian
Dupioni is now in Mt. Vernon, Ohio and available for breedings thru October 2009. Dupioni's crias are taking home the ribbons, including a NATIONAL CHAMPION! Rare Full Peruvian 1/2 Accoyo genetics.
Dupioni is a very uniform light fawn herdsire with very, very dense and beautifully bundled fleece. His fleece exhibits consistent finger bundles with high-frequency crimped lockets. He is ultra fine with virtually no visible guard hairs. We are confident that this purchase from Snowmass Alpacas brings amazing quality to our breeding program and offers the same to yours.
Dupioni now has more than 35 crias on the ground. He's producing great color with extreme shine, not to mention the awesome character and density. Dupioni seems to be very capable of passing color from the dam to the offspring and, even more impressive is his ability to pass his extreme density and fine hand to his progeny. The judges have consistently commented on the Dupioni crias as being the "denses<--description-->
Dam: BV Emma Abigail
1398212<--ari-->True Black<--color--> 1/4 Chilean, 3/4 Peruvian
Emma is a proven true black 1/4 Accoyo female out of two black parents. She has a beautiful face, dense & crimpy fiber, and a gentle and friendly disposition. Her body frame is built from a large bone structure and she has fiber coverage to the toes with long staple length.
Emma's 2006 cria (pictured at right), sired by 369 Peruvian Orion, won the Fawn Color Championship at the Michigan International AlpacaFest. His fiber is ultra-crimpy, completely consistent from head to toes, bundled with black/grey skin and jet black toe nails.
In 2007, Emma delivered a beautiful solid dark silver grey female cria sired by Little Reata's Peruvian Maximus. This cria is so wonderful, we have decided to repeat the breeding for a Fall 2008 cria. "Max" has the largest bone capacity I've ever seen with a friendly, gentle demeanor so much like Emma. They are a match made in heaven!
2008 cria is here - just as expected, another beauty. For 2009, Max is back with Em
