Gingerbelle is out of gray herdsire, Dust Devil. This girl could definitely give you a quality gray cria. She could be instrumental in integrating staple length EPD superiority to a line of gray foundation alpacas. Don't let her price fool you, she is proven, a good mother with no deficits. She simply does not work into our white breeding program. Gingerbelle will absolutely put staple length on any cria, but fineness will be improved significantly through the pairing with fine male. She has density and compact frame with good bone and conformation. Gingerbelle was bred to Hemingway's Bogart and produced a very fine staple length male. She conceived on the first breeding, had an uneventful birth and gestated a healthy male cria who had fantastic weight gain with Mom maintaining her body weight. You can't get a dam with better breeding qualities than that. Since her sire was gray she also has the potential to produce gray offspring. Pairing this girl with a fine dense gray herdsire and you should have the whole package in her prodigy. Gingerbelle's EPD for staple length of+4.2. This staple length EPD is in the top 1% among all tested alpaca. The numerical value of +4 indicates she will put at least 4 inches of staple length in her offspring. Gingerbelle is truly a very special alpaca.

Description

We are excited to see what Horizon's fiber turn out to be. We took our Dam with an excellent EPD for staple length and bred her to our finest boy, Bogart to bring the best of two traits together in Horizon. Though he is multicolored his blanket is sold. We are very please so far with what we see in the fiber of this young boy. Horizon is most likely bound to be a fiber boy or pet quality male. He is a doll, and I call him "Oreo". A friendly young boy who could bring lots of fun to a family or a spinner. Plenty of staple length and fineness for any use. He will simply not have the EPDs to sell as a herdsire. Even without having any histogram and EPD as yet, we know that any male we sell for breeding will have to have world class EPDs. The pairing he was born from was the hope to get a female we could continue to breed up, but that was not to be. Therefore, someone can have a darling little gentleman.
