We are extraordinarily fortunate to have been able to acquire this Harlequin beauty!
She gets an Appaloosa gene from her sire's side (NWA/Hearsum Paulo). Her maternal grand sire, Zephyrus, was Harlequin. It is definitely possible Tazer is homozygous for the Appaloosa/Harlequin gene complex. She is GORGEOUS!
She came to us with a male Appaloosa cria at side (Apache); his sire is Windspun WSA Patriotic Gentleman who's sire is Hobby Horse Farm Great Expectations. His paternal grand sire is non other than SA Peruvian Black Epic. This young male is homozygous for the Appaloosa gene complex and, Tazer was rebred to his sire! He appears Appaloosa as a young cria, but sheared out one of the most stunning Harlequins I have ever seen!
Tazer had her July 2016 cria and she is beautiful. She is that spitting image of her full brother Apache and appears to be Appaloosa......currently! We named her Julz.
