**This male has also put black on the ground!!!! ________________________ A SUPER SAM son in the USA! In light fawn! Quicksand has his own championship merits to stand on, but his ancestry backs him up. Normally, these generics are held close to the vest and not shared. We believe in moving the industry forward in measured increments. So we will sparingly share this male. Quicksand is a multiple champion Super Sam son. His dam is a dam of SUPREME champions. Normally we don't need to say much more...but we can and will... Quicksand has all the attributes which make him the "ideal" alpaca: - sound, well balanced "box-like" conformation, which moves flawlessly - great bone density on a fully covered and upright frame - excellent head shape, with a correct bite - calm temperament - heavy fleece which is: easily parted - ultra fine super bright - uniform long in staple length organized and even in crimp style He is truly one of the males that makes you stop what you are doing and just stare. He is the complete package. So go ahead, we don't mind. Stare. For he is stunning. Then take the judges' advice...breed all your females to this guy...he is the real deal. ________________________________ For the breeders who know Super Sam…no explanation is needed. Quicksand is a multiple champion Super Sam son. And Westwind Aleta produces SUPREME CHAMPION offspring. For those who haven’t heard of Super Sam…he is THE 16x Get-of-Sire award winning sire…THE Futurity winning herdsire male….THE herdsire to Futurity and Color and Supreme Champions in a whole array of colors….THE stud who changed the way the Canadians defined a true impact stud sire…THE stud who is CLOSED to outside breedings….and, of course, THE sire…to Quicksand.

HERD DISPERSAL UPDATE: Swiss Miss (Lacey) is a big alpaca out of the well know sire Socosani. She is a good mother. Her phenotype is stunning. She has always had wonderful coverage, nice fleece, and stunning conformation. Lacey also has above average density. Sometimes she is a pessimist, but you can still get her ears up to pose for the camera! Lacey is a great producer who will throw exceptional crias when bred to the right male. Don't miss this opportunity! Swiss Miss is a lovely girl with a stunning presence. She was nicknamed "Lacey" by her previous owner, and she still responds to that name. The first thing you note when you see Lacey is her outstanding size. She is large, with big bone and great coverage completing her imposing appearance. Her conformation is wonderful and she has a pretty head. Lacey’s fleece is nicely dense and crimpy. In addition to her phenotype, Lacey also has a fantastic lineage, which includes Ppperuvian Royal Fawn in addition to her well-known sire, 5Peruvian Socosani. Lacey is an experienced and dedicated mother. She gave birth to a beautiful dark brown little girl out of Peruvian Noahh in 2009. Lacey's girl, named "Maggie," looked like a dark brown copy of her mom! Lacey gave birth in 2010 to a cute little dark brown/bay black boy out of our own SA Peruvian Noche Negro. In 2011, she did it again--giving us a cute little bay black boy out of TRF Peruvian Quicksilver. After a couple years of misses, Lacey gave us a beautiful little bay black girl named Sameera out of High Plain's Quicksand in spring 2015. Lacey's latest 2016 cria is a female named Nettie out of Heaven's Hill Peruvian Lucius.

Description

HERD DISPERSAL UPDATE: Sameera, who we call Sammy, is an adorable young alpaca! She has good staple length, coverage and character. Sammy's typey head and fuzzy ears make her a favorite in the cute department. She is always very curious and wants to know what the people are doing. At the same time she is always looking for trouble. Sammy is a lovely, charming alpaca! Samee was our fourth cria of spring 2015, and third girl that year. Samee is very dark and consistent in color--showing as true black at the skin. She is the granddaughter of the renowned multiple Canadian champion Super Sam! Samee is named for Sameera Moussa, who was a 20th century Egyptian nuclear scientist. Dr. Moussa held a doctorate in atomic radiation and worked to make the medical use of nuclear technology affordable for all. She organized the Atomic Energy for Peace Conference and sponsored a call for an international conference under the banner "Atoms for Peace."
