Brinx

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Silver Grey
AOA# 1162967DOB: 11/7/200321 yrs
Brinx's cria are living up to the standard set by their daddy in the show ring! His cria are taking Championships & Blues in the show ring!! Brinx just took GRAND CHAMPION in his first spring show of 2007! Judge Mary Reed commented that he was her pick the moment he stepped into the ring and he didn't disappoint her. She said his fleece was highly advanced with the quality we are only just beginning to see in our greys. That this is what we are all breeding for. He has now placed Champion or Reserve Champion as a juvenile, a yearling, a two year old & now as a three year old! That's incredible consistency and quality!! Brinx took the GREY COLOR CHAMPIONSHIP in the 2006 AFCNA National Fleece Show!!! There were 28 grey fleeces in this championship class!! Incredible!! I'm doin' the Happy Dance!! Brinx is a superb addition to our herdsire row. I was thrilled to find him tucked away on a small farm in my area. His density is incredible, his coverage is complete - from topknot to tail, his balance of body & conformation are tremendous. His fleece is lustrous with fantastic lock structure and well defined high frequency crimp. Brinx is the next level in a top quality grey breeding program. I'm securing my "Kash" investment breedings with "Brinx"!! Brinx has grey throughout his lineage, including the now deceased Wily Coyote from New Zealand, and Cisco Kid, sire to many champion greys! This boy is well bred and it shows! Brinx's halter show career was short and extremely successful. He placed Grand Champion as a juvenile and Reserve Champion as a yearling. He placed 1st or 2nd TEN TIMES in 13 months!! Wow!! I've now retired him from halter classes but will continue to show his incredible fiber for awhile. Brinx will truly enhance your black & grey females.

Dam: Snugglers' Peruvian Carmeltina

Snugglers' Peruvian Carmeltina

HuacayaOpen (Female)Dark Brown
AOA# 848310DOB: 5/17/200321 yrs
When we began Storybook Alpacas we were told to start with the best. Carmeltina, a full Peruvian, Pendragon of Peru daughter, one of our first animals, came to us with multiple championships and bred to Snowmass Golden Seal. She is magnificent with beautiful fleece and an extraordinary elegance we have not seen in any other animal, all complemented by her gentle personality. Soft, dense, consistent fleece from Carmeltina has supplied us with a beautiful supply of yarn showing off her Royal Fawn heritage. Attesting to her value are her siblings who have also done well in the show ring and her crias who, with one exception, have all won 1st up to multiple champion and even a judges choice either in the ring or on their fiber. Carmeltina has gone on to prove herself with show stopping crias, textbook births and has been the perfect vision of motherhood. Her attentiveness to her crias has been amazing and her milk supply - well our vet called her a dairy cow! Carmeltina, the mother of multi-champions Maia and Manifestation, threw an adorable, light silver grey, pure peruvian daughter out of the now-deceased Brinx in June. She has that coveted big bone and a curious personality that just doesn't quit! We have truly enjoyed having Carmeltina and her offspring in our herd and now the next chapter of the story has begun. Thank you to Jeff Hull and Nancy Lake of Grey Alpaca Company who have generously purchased Carmeltina for their breeding program and to help with the Alpacas for Asylum effort to save a family from genocide. Watch for her next cria in the ring!

Treasure Valley's Tres Equis

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Rose Grey
AOA# 31651899DOB: 4/22/200915 yrs
Congratulations to Michele and Rob at Rosehaven Alpacas for the purchase of 50% of Tres! Tres Equis brings new powerhouse gray genetics to the east coast, and from bloodlines you would not normally see on a gray ARI...Snowmass XXXtreme, Peruvian Hemingway, Peruvian Bueno, PCA Peruvian Microsoft, Microsoft-Accoyo Marco Polo to name a few. In addition to his stellar bloodlines, his fineness and density are tops. It is difficult to open his fleece and see skin. Tres earned 5 Championships in his show career. Now his offspring are doing the same. Most recently, Gray Alpaca Co’s Tres Ami started her show career in 2015. As the youngest juvie in her classes, she won Reserve Championship at Empire and NEOBA, and Championship at OABA. She is simply amazing! Breed to this exceptional Herdsire and improve your chances of reducing the micron of primary and secondary fibers, adding high frequency crimp with superior density. Tres produced Champion offspring in his first year of production. Histogram data 2010 15.8 3.7 23.2 0.9 2011 18.9 4.5 24.0 1.6 Tres is now in PA, and please contact Nancy or Jeff for scheduling information. Last but not least, when haltered this proud boy doesn't walk, he prances. Tres is co-owned with our friends at Four Points Alpacas. Additional VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDPSSYZBr2o
