Ryder is a gorgeous True Black male that we are proud to have in our herdsire lineup! We offer him for sale reluctantly as we are very pleased with the cria that he has given us, but we now have several gorgeous offspring and need to consider genetic diversity in our herd. Do you want BEAUTIFUL, crimpy, bright and uniform fleece???...RYDER has it! Do you want a refined and beautiful head???...RYDER has it!! Do you want a strong history of color???...RYDER has it!!! Do you want a strong history of winners???...RYDER has it!!!! Do you want color AND Caligula bloodlines???...RYDER has it!!!!! Do you want GREY???...Ryder can do it!!!! Do you want to breed to a COLOR CHAMPION and Multiple BLUE ribbon winner???...RYDER is IT!!!!!! Look no further, come and check out Ryder and you will agree, this boy has everything you want to pass along to your next generation of crias. Beautiful, Bright and BLACK crimp from skin to bundled tips. Soft and buttery handle when you work your hands into his fleece. A stylish head, perfect conformation and excellent presence. A Color Champion himself and also hailing from a line of Color Champions including his sire, Maple Brook Sapphire and his paternal Grandsire, Brittany's Desparado, who is a multiple Blue ribbon winner and Get of Sire winner at the Big E in 2002! Plus his Dam's side which includes the legendary Caligula! Take a look at Ryder's histogram and note that ***these numbers reflect his fiber stats at 9 YEARS of age!*** Though many of the cria that Ryder has sired at Pronkin' Pastures are lighter in color, make no mistake, he can and does throw black! We have very few black females in our herd and chosen to breed him to many of our lighter colored girls. Interested in seeing more of Ryder's fantastic offspring? Take a look at his offspring record on Alpacas of Alagaesia's 'sold' listing page. In the interest of keeping genetic diversity in our herd, we will consider breed trades and lease options. Contact us for details. Ryder has been a great asset to our herd and think he can add value to yours too!

Dam: Daphne of Pronkin' Pastures

Daphne of Pronkin' Pastures

AOA# 31409087DOB: 9/10/201014 yrs
Make an offer! We have recently changed Daphne's status to non-breeder. Daphne has birthed 2 crias, both lovely males, and while Daphne is a attentive and nurturing mom with plenty of milk, both crias were quite slow to start - requiring lots of intervention to keep the cria nourished the first few days. Daphne is a lovely girl. Dark fawn in color, and like her 2 sisters, she has fine, bright fiber with a nice handle. She displays correct conformation and has a pleasant disposition. Daphne delivered her first cria on June 4, 2014 - a lovely fading fawn male. She delivered quickly and without assistance and has far exceeded our expectations in regard to mothering instincts and *abundant* milk supply. She is proving to be a very attentive and patient mom while still being accepting of handling her baby for routine health monitoring. Her second cria was delivered July 2017, but sadly, did not survive. We do not intend to breed Daphne again due to the extra work involved in getting her crias started and because we have an abundance of her genetics in our herd. We think she would make a great companion animal and does still produce fiber with a very nice hand.

Description

Beau is mild mannered, calm, and as sweet as they come! Though he looks light in color on the outside, he actually has a very pretty golden color fiber! Fine and with a long staple, his fleece is just gorgeous! Beau sells as a fiber male only because we have a wealth of his genetics in our herd. He may have what it takes to be a herdsire, but we own his daddy and 3 brothers.
