Stoney's Sir Devin

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Rose Grey

Stoney's Sir Devin passed away on January 24, 2016. This was a prepotent male that gave us many a high end offspring. We will miss this boy and his calm disposition and charm. He was a good one! This may be the best kept secret in the gray world. This male is a 12 time first place winner. He was shown in both silver and rose gray classes, and the results were the same. He is a 2 time Reserve Champion and also a Champion at both halter and fleece. He has also won Judges Choice Fleece in competitions with over 100 fleeces. This male is rediculously nice and has proven the ability to pass it on. You are going to love the phenotype and the fleece. He imparts incredible bone, coverage, and some of the best topknots you have seen (not that we use much of that fleece....). Check it out!

TOP 10% IN 2022 EPD'S!!!! Ok, I see a couple of folks are looking hard at Indy.... 1/2 INTEREST NOW AVAILABLE - SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY PLEASE. Kendall Creek Farms has a new acquisition for 2014, and we are very excited about the possibilities. This boy is absolutely Indescribable! His 4 Championships do not do him justice. His lingering fineness is just incredible and we feel that in his color, it is up there with the best. LMFI Jeremiah's Indescribable (Indy) is a boy that we were following for a few years while he was owned by Magical Farms. When we got the word about their retirement, the first male that we spoke to them about was Indescribable. He has the typey frame with spot on conformation. He has the fine fleece with fantastic handle and zipper crimp that we are looking for in our breeding program. And the fact that his parents have a combined 21 Championships in their resume' give us the confidence that greatness lay within. 2019 - Indy now has 24 registered offspring between 12 different farms and that is enough to generate a little statistics for you. Of the 24 cria, 23 are show age and 20 have been shown at halter. 100% of them have placed in their class; and 69% of those have placed in the top 3; and 56 of the 99 awards were for first or second place. Six have won Color Champion or Reserve Champion banners, with a total of 10 banners between them. And, the 6 champion alpaca were one black, two brown, two fawn, and one white. So, a 100% ribbon rate and a 30% Champion rate. We feel this measures up rather well, and most importantly is an indication of the consistency and uniformity of the production from this male, regardless of color. this is exactly what we are looking for in our breeding program and we are proud to have him as part of the KCF Herdsire Row!!

UPDATE: NOVEMBER 2015 CONGRATULATIONS TO THE GRAY ALPACA COMPANY FOR THEIR PURCHASE OF ENCHANTED ROSE. WE EXPECT THIS GIRL TO BE A GREAT ADDITION TO THEIR ALREADY REKNOWNED GRAY BREEDING PROGRAM. THANK YOU TO NANCY AND DON LAKE AND JEFF AND BETH HULL!! Ok, so let's see if the Openherd crowd is paying attention. Let's look at the PROVEN results of KCF Enchanted Rose's pedigree and take some notes. Her mother a Champion, Her father a Champion. Her Full sister (and basically identical twin) a Champion. All of her full sister's offspring - that's right, all Champions. Now lets take that pile of Championships and add a little LMFI Jeremiah's Indescribable. "Indy" is a proven gray producer that we are starting to use to cover our girls in need of a little color in their lives. His fleece is crazy dense and full of high frequency bright crimp that, if we can get on a gray, will blow any competition away. Now obviously we have this girl covered every witch-a-way so we feel comfortable letting her go. The question is where will she go? Will it be your farm?
